Quinton Burns vs Hunter Brzustewicz

Who has the highest ceiling? Did the Blues make a mistake with this pick? Brzustewicz is tearing it up in the OHL.​

i don't think we were wrong. very different players. brz is having a great year, but he is still kinda undersized guy with some skill. but not elite. burns is guy who has the size and tools and some nastiness, but needs to put it all together. if he can slow it down in his mind, he could be excellent. if not, he may never see nhl action. they both have nice upside, although as you would expect with 3rd rounders neither is sure thing.

I mean, most likely. But, Kitchener is on a completely different level talent wise than Kingston.

I'm not the biggest fan of Q. Burns. I truly hope he proves me wrong tho. I have him 4th of our LHD prospects behind Lindstein, Buchinger, and Loof.

while we need rhd prospects, absolutely, i'm not sold on brz. this year will be a lot of interesting rd prospects. like more than i can remember in years.

Pekarcik 4 assists. He's currently 1st in assists and 8th in points in USHL. He's also 4th in point per game but top 3 guys are USNTDP players and played only 9 games.

I guess Pekarcik is more of playmaker eh? Pretty damn impressive numbers it’d be cool if he makes the Blues squad and skates with Dvorsky at some point, Im sure they they would have chemistry.

They had excellent chemistry together for Slovakia at the U18s. They were the 1st line C and LW and two highest scorers for Slovakia.

Decent chance they’ll play together again later this month at the U20s. Not a guarantee Pekarcik makes the team and if he does, not a guarantee they play on the same line again though.

We made the right decision. Hunter will hit a wall and not pass it.

Agreed. And he is super young for his class. I had him 34 in final ranking. Really like the player.

Zherenko 4-0 with a 1.47 GAA and .952 SP in his last four games. Again, I wouldn’t mind seeing him and Hofer change places for a couple of weeks to give Big Z a look and an NHL paycheck and give Hofer a reset.

Saw Fischer live tonight. Wasn't too noticeable outside of his 2 and 10 in the first period for burying a guy into the boards. Obviously he missed half the game but he didn't stand out much. He did get a good amount of ice time and looked decent QBing the second powerplay but did get caught for a breakaway at the end of it. Decent skater and awareness in his own zone though I will say. Still an 18 year old adjusting to NCAA

Dvorsky, Pekarcik and Bolduc’s stats stand out the most. And Lindstein. On the surface, 0.3 pts/game isn’t overly impressive but it is when you factor in he’s an 18 year old d-man playing in a pro league.

Love seeing 7 points in 10 games for Bolduc too. I’m a bit of a doubter, but I’d love to be wrong. Could definitely use that shot on the PP(or Snuggy’s).

Dali and Pek was the main reasons I made the post. Lol, but I would have felt weird if I didnt add everyone else as well. They are absolutely killing it, and I'm very happy to see Bolduc starting to adjust to the Pro Game.

I still believe Bolduc has the highest goal scoring ceiling of all of our prospects. Especially if he's playing on Thomas' wing. Watch this video and think how many goals he scores on passes that Thomas often makes that no one can seem to get shots off of
