Really dont understand how being surrounded by professional trainers, nutritionists and all you friends in the gym constantly that one can't find it easy to stay in shape. Huge pet peeve of mine when a professional athlete has an amateur coach potato body.
A professional athlete should never share the same figure as me. Couldn’t agree more. Like it’s your job. Do it.

Kill it. Kill it with fire.
Those are a disgrace

2 of those 3 dominant starts against:

- A Tigers team who currently couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat and are on pace to be one of the worst run scoring teams we've seen in a while.

- a Baltimore team who while significantly improved, is still near the bottom of the league in most hitting categories

The Minnesota one I'll give you. That was a gem and against a team that's surprisingly near the top in a lot of categories

He needs to show more consistency. I agree it's not doom and gloom but it's a bit tough to see him adjust (like throwing his curve more in recent starts), get smacked and then have to go back to the drawing board.

He threw his offspeed more last night and got shelled for it. Not sure what the fix is.

Whatever good he did was completely wiped by last night's start. He continues to give up a high rate of hard hit balls and barrels ( 6th percentile in both) and barely got any swings and misses last night. The Minnesota game seems like an outlier, but I am hoping he can at least put together a bunch of decent starts rather than this inconsisent mess.

I noticed that last night as well. He gave up a pile of runs but even in the outs he got, those balls were cranked. Just happened to be right at a fielder or not have enough juice to get over the fence.

Also the first time I could recall him showing signs of frustration when the camera panned to him a couple of times in the dugout. Probably thought he had it figured out after the good stretch and right back into the shitter it went.

Bogaerts has 3.2 fWAR and arguably should be above Anderson.

While Bo started slow, he's up to 16th in SS fWAR and climbing. His defense has also picked up dramatically, to the point where he is now 18 of 22 qualified SS and very close to catching Iglesias and Kiner-Falefa (the noted defensive whiz).
Those aren’t all star rankings for Bo though. He has no business sniffing the Asg

I really think we need to pick up our All Star voting guys. Espinal not being the starting 2nd baseman is a travesty :sarcasm:

He's actually 3rd in AL 2B fWAR just 0.3 off the lead. Definitely deserves it more than Bo and possibly more than Springer and Vladdy too. But those 3 are way more popular obviously.

Hey don’t forget about Jansen DH’ing!

Idk they already have Tapia and Zimmer, plus Biggio and Lopez can play OF too.

IMO none of these guys should see time in CF, including Zimmer even though it's his primary position. His bat is so much of a negative that I think it outweighs his excellent defense in CF.

Even with all those other options listed I think I'd still rather see a Nathan Lukes callup.

Here are the five times Espinal has struck out looking in the last week:

Espy's a way cooler head than I am.

I would have absolutely lost my shit after probably the second or third one.

The calls were bad across the board but it really felt like he especially got screwed.

You'll get Vinny Capra and you'll like it!

The ump was brutal for both teams, but the most frustrating part was that the bigger the situation got for the Jays, the worse the calls got. Like... he literally took a full run away from the Jays (plus whatever run expectancy they would have had with Chapman coming up) with the last Espinal strikeout. The better the Jays chances of scoring got, the bigger the zone got. What a load of crap.

Like when Mayza was hitting closer to the corners than Graveman but didn't get any of the strikes he was getting.

23. Blue Jays
Pick: Robby Snelling, LHP, McQueen HS, Reno, Nev.
Rationale: The Blue Jays haven't taken a prep pitcher in the first round since Phil Bickford in 2013, who did not sign, but I like the idea of them grabbing Snelling here. With a pair of above-average or better offerings and plus control from the left side he could wind up being a steal at 23.
60. Blue Jays
Pick: Nazier Mule, RHP/SS, Passaic County Tech HS, Wayne, N.J.
Rationale: Mule is an athletic righthander with huge velocity. I'll add him to my collection of pitching prowess.

If there was an unsung hero category on my list, it would be Stripling.

What’s the hype on Moreno? Positives? What has got him to the MLB?

He put up Vladdy like numbers in the minors except he did it at catcher and actually has a reputation for good defense. We're also discovering he's a very fast runner. Not just for a catcher, but in general.

Although the jays have been getting squeezed terribly if late I think it’s time that something has to give. A trade of some sort with a roster player included or a manager needs to go. If not Montoyo someone else. This team was favoured to get to a ws final and we are sliding out of playoff contention.
