GDT: Blackhawks vs. Ducks - Who Wins?

Hawks in 7. the CHI defense and goalies are the concern, which is why i pushed it out to 7. the combo of those two will cost them at least two games. Q will have to shield Rundblad and Timmonen as much as possible. the longer the series goes the reliance on his top 4 may play a factor as they log more minutes

PO experience and 'playing on the big stage' will not be an advantage to the Suxs for the first time in their run. that played huge dividends against WPG and a bit less against CAL.

on the Hawks bandwagon for now

Ducks in 6. I think Crawford gets rattled early and Darling doesn't get a chance to settle in. Crawford back in the for the decisive game six at home, loses.

Ideally the series would go to 7 with both rosters getting ground down, giving the east team (hopefully Washington) an outside shot, but I don't know.

Ducks are a heavy team like LA, but they seem to have a bit more footspeed, at least amongst the forwards. If their D can engage right at the blue line and not give easy entrys, I think they have a solid shot. Rosival is out too I think?

The team that reminds me of LA is the caps, well the 2012 kings anyway. They are the biggest team in the playoffs. Have a young unproven netminder, a European superstar on the top line, and terrific defensive depth. the fact Glencross has been a healthy scratch speaks to their offensive depth as well.

problem is that much like the 2012 Kings of the regular season (not the playoffs), their offense is drying up to an alarming extent for a team with the raw firepower that they have on paper

really hope I'm wrong (would prefer to see Caps win over anyone else left) but I don't see the Caps making it out of the East even.

Well, except for all the losing. Caps have already lost 2 times more than the Kings did and they are not even out of the second round yet. (And may not get there even.)

It really reads like a "Kings worst nightmares" list of foes this year  Ducks, Hawks, Rangers...who else could we sub from the east from lately, Devils? Ehh. That fourth one is just a 'wild card/which East team do I hate most,' lol. And not that I particularly hate the Ducks or Hawks, just looking at it from the standpoint of "wait, maybe my invite got lost in the mail..."

currently the only way i'd be more pissed about this final four is if it was MTL over TBL

Now the Rangers are in the mix. Disgusting.

My ideal situation is the Hawks go down to the Ducks in 7 then the Ducks go down to the Eastern Champ in 4 games. I don't like TB or NYR so which one doesn't bother me.

the hilarious thing is that half the Hawks fans I know here in Chicago were actually happy when Rozsival got hurt because they thought he was dragging down their blue line.

you know what else drags down your blue line? only having ****ing 4 NHL defenseman

that is what i was telling guys here also, he was in the line up for a reason. now i just pose the question - Rozsival or Timmonen? watch the steam come out of their ears

Some fools in the playoff discussion thread, who are clearly Hawks homers, were convinced that they'd be fine playing just 4 dmen, falsley claiming they did so in previous years.

I guess these are the same people who also threw NicK Leddy under the bus.
