Folks, can't act surprised when you post a poll about two other teams that AREN'T the Kings then visitors walk in to further the discussion. No one has done anything wrong.
absolutely, I want the Ducks to crush the dreams of everyone within a 500 mile radius of Chicago.
Kane is a generational talent, and I respect that, but if the Hawks win I hope you all like constantly hearing how Chicago is "unmatched in the salary cap era" and are a "modern day dynasty".
If the Ducks win at the end of the day, the rivalry with them hopefully gets more heated and hockey grows more in California.
as far as series prediction, it's a toss-up.
CHI has gamebreaking talent in Kane and stronger top pairing in Keith/Seabrook, ANA has much better depth (especially on D) all the way around.
Would Chicago winning their 3rd cup (with this current core) really bother you guys? I don't care. I just want the 2-1 score to remain intact!
Yeah, I'd hate to see the Hawks win the cup again, but I I'll take them winning again over our #1 division rival with whom we have to share a media market. Go Caps/Lightning.
Am I on the Kings board????
I really don't want the Hawks getting to 3. Especially if it doesn't go through the Kings. Especially in a year when the Kings didn't make it. I am in no way rooting for the Ducks, but they keep playing teams that I wouldn't mind seeing them beat. It's very annoying.
After Chicago got things figured out after the first couple games against Nashville, they really haven't been in trouble. The Ducks, sort of the same thing. They've been down a few times during a game, but never out of a game. Neither team has obviously played anyone so far quite like each other. It has the potential to be up there with the Kings/Hawks series last year, but, we'll see how it goes.
I'll say Hawks in 6, but I don't want to.
Kings 12, Hawks 13, Kings 14, Hawks 15?, Kings 16!

outside of a SJ vs ANA WCF
this is probably LA's worst desired outcome...
I bet some of us Kings fans know more about the Ducks and their history than over 50% of those Ducks "fans" attending their games.
They've probably never heard of Randy Ladoucer or Tim Sweeney or Joe Sacco, Troy Loney, Todd Ewen, etc. Or those fun Stu Grimson scraps where he absolutely demolished Phil Crowe. And Dave Karpa always getting under the Kings' skin (a player the Ducks were actually smart about picking up after the Kings' dumbass medical staff deemed him unfit to pass his physical, thus voiding the deal McMaster had made with the Nordiques).
Anyhow, I admire how the Ducks are playing, I just don't think those "fans" deserve that team. They struggle to fill that building during the regular season. Here's hoping we don't see another embarrassing Cup parade in a friggin' parking lot.
I think you are exactly right, and I think there are Ducks fans who know more about Kings history than 50% of the Kings fans that are at the games.
Lol. Yeah like one or two. The other 12,000 ask when halftime is
