WRT Timmins:

I think he has enough skill in the offensive zone to play in the league. He's capable of some nice feeds and his shot is more or less average.

Defensively, he's a work in progress (being kind). I'm not ready to completely; perhaps this extra time he's getting with injuries will start to elevate his play at some point? Then again, maybe he'll just never amount to anything more than a call up 7th,/8th guy.

I actually love home and homes. Wish it happened more often
How many Norris Division home-and-homes did we get? A TON. And it was so intense... I miss it. Leafs @ on the Thursday or Friday and home on Saturday night at the Gardens!

It's funny, I watched the end of the Blues/Wings game after ours was over and I had Norris Division memories, thinking how many effin times did we play the Wings, Blues, North Stars and Blackhawks?!

The old divisions and schedule were so much better. Acknowledging that it made absolutely no sense for the Leafs to be in the western conference, I nonetheless miss those old rivalries. There really aren't much in the way of rivalries in sports anymore.

I have always felt the League goes out of their way to ensure the schedule is the way it is to reduce any shenanigans. Which is crazy, shenanigans is where it's at!

Jarnkrok has been great. He's a very vanilla player and let's face it, this fanbase likes their Rocky Road/Moose Tracks/Pralines and Cream type players. But for his salary, he provides a well-rounded game and is currently on pace for 50 points. Solid.

Damn, the 80's. A bad team benefitting from a bad division. Loved those tilts though.

Been impressed with Marner recently. I guess it helps to swap up sometimes to get out of a funk.

Nice win.

Did Paul Marner get excited about anything today or did he skip the game?

Nice to see Timmins taking some shots and getting some points. Hoping he can keep getting into games. Hes got a ways to go but he has some useful tools in his toolbox.

McCabe…….. wow. That guy is on my team. Total gamer and plays bigger than he is.

I remember us having like 58 points and the Pens with ~84 points, yet we got in and they missed. LOL

1987-88; It was worse than I remembered. We had 52 points, the Pens and Rangers had 81 and 82 points respectively, both teams missed the playoffs. wow.

1986 Leafs had the 8th seed with 57 points, and Pens in the other conference had 10th seed with 76 points, 4 points behind the 8th seed, and missed the playoffs.
