I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the start of the year. But I can’t ignore it anymore. Lavi needs to go yesterday.
That's fortunate. This team is garbage and would get embarrassed in the playoffs.Unfortunately that might be the nail in our playoff coffin.
Giroux alsoStamkos had an entire second career on a move to wing.
if you look up "dinosaur retread hockey coach" in Webster's, his bloated face is what pops upUnfortunately that might be the nail in our playoff coffin.
agreed. Hosts a great hockey podcast tooI know Kenny has the gig but Don LaGreca is great

Seems to me this is about the end of the road. Three more games to the deadline. Unless they win all three they should get rid of any vets they can and let the kids play. Maybe catch lightning in a bottle. At worst get a head start on next season.Worst loss of the year

It's this organization's business model. Unless they're a generational talent, no younger player will supplant a vet in NYR. Ever. For any reason, despite showing they could be ready for more responsibility. If you have the bigger contract, you get the bigger role in perpetuity. Full stop. How cuylle continues to not be elevated in bigger roles and situations is baffling. The kid does everything and works hard all the time. Why would you reward him and use him for a positive example?
I have less than zero faith that this team will bring in a coach that will have this team look any different than they have over the last 5 years. Roster changes big and small, coaching staffs completely revamped 4 times from Quinn>AV>Gallant>Lavi, and I cannot tell you what this team's game plan is on any given night or the type of game they play. It feels like they just show up, participate in a hockey game if they feel up to it, and leave.I gave him the benefit of the doubt at the start of the year. But I can’t ignore it anymore. Whoever they choose will have a big undertaking. Or not. It doesn't seem like the coaches do/have done very much to mold this team into anything in particular.
The past 2 years have told us that Laf is most effective with 12 minutes of ice time and no power play time. It's such bizzaro world but now Laf plays like shit and gets 20 minutes and PP1 and looks like 18 yr old timid Laf.
Thought they played well. Shesty extension looks about as bad as i thought. Gonna be a fun 8 years with that contract
We're back to goalie blaming and not holding the defense accountable for letting a player walk right down the middle untouched, shoot, score, still untouched.
this team, uh, doesn't do thatHow cuylle continues to not be elevated in bigger roles and situations is baffling. The kid does everything and works hard all the time. Why would you reward him and use him for a positive example?
