Annoying loss because we were the better team for most of this. But once again, it's completely unforced errors and 'lazy' plays that let us down. And they are things that we just do too often compared to the best teams.
Matthews is what you'd like to see out of Laf and Panarin an neither were close.

The first line is working quite well and the bottom 6 just hustle around the ice making things happen. Get Berard back up, give Othmann some more time and let the kids start establish a culture of hustling and out working people, with the assumption that Miller and Tro will back them up.
I seriously don't get Laf as a player, and can't work outw what he wants to get out of his career.
The D was actually really good overall, especially KAM/Borgen. I still don't get why Jones can't be a regular at the NHL level

Im glad Zibs had a good night but feel let down by Igor and Laf. Tough loss bc otherwise we played pretty good. Well, Leafs are a 1st place team now at least we didnt lose to a team that sucks. When we lose to the Sabres it always hurts that little bit extra.

How cuylle continues to not be elevated in bigger roles and situations is baffling. The kid does everything and works hard all the time. Why would you reward him and use him for a positive example?
