Alex Smith was a #1 and couldn't do that. He's just relating to that
Smith had a good solid career, but he was never elite, but had a bad run of HC early in his career. Found stability when Harbaugh arrived. Curious to think what his career would have been like had he not gotten that concussion which opened the door for Kap, though SF did spend a 2nd rounder on him.

Not surprised to hear players, former ones, push for Fields. Guys like to go with what they see from the NFL at QB. Different if talking MHJr or one of the OT that they feel can plug and play.

QB, such an important decision, they'd rather roll with what they know vs a complete unknown.

Curious to see what Caleb measures in at during the combine. Listed at 6'1, but is he a legit 6'1 or just barely over 6 feet. Plays a lot out of structure.

I'm wondering if he (or others) will bypass the combine and just have 'prodays' where the teams need to go specifically see them workout. Unless the NFL has a rule they must show up for measurements.

No requirement. But, take Young, he showed up to be measure but no workout cause his weight was not his true playing weight. Can load up on water to be a bit heavier but would impact your workout.

Will get measured either at combine or pro day. Caleb may also be thinking about keeping the weight up so would not shock me to see him only throw at pro day.

Last year really shows the confidence of Stroud to go out and throw with Levi’s and Richardson who have stronger arms for distance and velocity.

I like Chris Stapleton. I like Snoop. As a drummer, I like Cindy Blackmon.

I hate the ‘in the air tonite’ intro…

With the packers defense playing terribly lately it seems like this week is perfectly set up to be game where the bears get 15 points on 5 field goals and lose by 2 scores.

Flus will be back win or lose imo
I think it's leaning that way. But they better not get spanked like they did in the opener. That would be pretty bad bookends to this season, humiliating Packer losses to start and end it.

And fwiw, I'm picking them to win today, just saying if that happens....

Flus and Fields both have big mountains to climb today.

If the Bears win, they'll probably end up picking at like 12. If they lose, they'll probably end up picking around 9. Not a huge difference, but enough to miss out on the top non-Tackle, non-MHJ, non-QB prospects, so I'm rooting for a loss today but won't be at all upset if they win because, you know, it'd be fun to ruin GB's playoffs hopes in Lambeau.

The Packers defense is bad, but the tactic of sitting back in a zone and having the QB try to find holes in it has historically been very effective against Fields. We'll see how he does today.

If JJ and Gordon are out, the Packers' offense will cause issues.

One of Nabers, Odunze, Verse, Turner will be there at 12. That's still a really good player.

Regardless of what happens, I'm excited for one more game for us to talk about before having 7 months of speculation and arguments about hypotheticals. That's a win!

They still have a shot at 8 but only if Atlanta beats New Orleans which is doable. Remember the Jets play New England today. I would be shocked if New England wins that game. Bears if they lose automatically leap frogs the Jets based off strength of schedule.

I guess the question is how much is it worth getting one of those players versus having your pick of those players? I did just get annoyed reading a Packers article about how this could be Jordan Love's signature moment, so I'm leaning more towards winning than losing right now.

Highest they can pick is 8th if they lose and Jets and Falcons win.

Lowest is 13
