Hey Terry, Do Us A Favor and SELL

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
I think any investment into the arena now will be based on ROI for the owners. For example, a quicker ordering system that makes people buy more, etc.

I think large investments, like new seats, etc, will wait until the lease renewal.

There is no plan for relocation or even a new arena at this point. The cost over runs at the new bills stadium will scare them off of any big projects for the foreseeable future. Plus they bought the hotel, built the practice arena, lots of investment in the arena district. They'd be hurting themselves.
That would go against what Chad is hearing in that it wouldn't impact the fan experience.

And they did go with one have to maintenance item (roof) and one customer experience item (scoreboard) in year 1.

If it was all about ROI for the owners, they would have waited on the scoreboard and done that stuff last summer.

What happens when they are drawing 7-8k on a nightly basis with the cheapest ticket prices in the entire league and little to no corporate support (their money will be 100% going to the throwball team)?

I'm not sure that's ever going to happen. Even with us in the doldrums, they're still selling ~10k season tickets. And that's being supplemented by the fans of the road team.

It's not actual butts in the seats that matter -- it's the number of tickets sold. Now....if the number of tickets sold drops to 5-7k per game.....THEN something might happen.

They are doing that now, that 10k is going to plummet this offseason barring the team doing something bonkers like signing Marner as a UFA. A lot of those visiting fans buy below face on secondary market, they may not be as willing to pay box office price.

Adams should have never been hired in the first place and yet Terry still employs him after missing the playoffs for another 5 years to extent your drought to 15 years..

The Sabres aren't going anywhere as long as Terry owns this team.

No he shouldn’t sell. He needs to hire a new front office, Sign checks, and stay out of the way.

People wanting him to sell are emotional. Pegula has signed pretty much every top player that has come up for a contract. I don’t want another owner. They need to find someone that can build a winning organization. Adams isn’t the guy.
