I'm not gonna pretend to have an informed opinion on any of this but Penix looks like Steve Young out there.

I think the problem with Penix for me at the NFL level is age and health. College wise he is absolutely balling but he is also months away from 24 and torn the same ACL twice already. I am happy for him though, back in the day he would have just got a job at Northwestern Mutual. Now he is able to get paid some money at the college level and also now going to get a decent NFL pay day.

1) Take Williams/Maye/Daniels outright #1
2) Try to trade down a few slots and grab whoever is still available of Williams/Maye/Daniels
3) Trade down outside of top 5-7 for biggest haul possible and grab either McCarthy or Penix with Bears pick or one you get from trade down
4) Keep Fields

I guess I don't follow you at all with the trade down but still take a QB. No one is doing that. If they're moving on from Fields, they're taking their guy at 1.

I view it as

1) Keep everyone (Getsy, Flus, Fields).. trade down to 5-10 range and get a haul and take WR and whatever.
2) Draft their guy at 1 and clean house. Trade Fields.
3) Draft their guy.. and then keep Flus and new OC. Trade Fields.

I don't see any other options.

In the other thread I said pretty much the same thing. Every big college and NFL team should have an eighteen year old on the payroll that's only qualification is having played a shit ton of Madden to help them burn the clock.

Also, there were two games that mattered today (sorry Tennessee and Oregon), and the second one is starting after 9 PM in the inferior eastern time zone on a work night?

The game just ended at almost 1am est. absolutely ridiculous on NYday when the other games are meaningless. Start them at 2 and then 545

I really hate that the OT was the standard 25 yard line thing. Play it like the NFL does.
