Arniel doesn’t have to say who’s coming out. We already know who’s not being scratched.

If the Jets have anything about them he'd play on his off hand on the 3rd pairing with Miller. But we all know that isn't happening. I am withholding judgement but I fear this might be the worst 3rd pairing the Jets have had in a couple of years knowing the weaknesses of Stan/Schenn. In a way it'll be fitting as they screwed up their 3rd pairing in the final stretch of last season too.

Of course both Schenn and Tanov have said all the rights in the various interviews, wouldn't expect anything different. Have a feeling they are here for the stretch run and playoffs only.

Schenn's under contract for next year, so he's probably not going anywhere.

I don't think Tanev disliked playing here so much as he liked getting $3.5M x 6 from the Pens.

I'll be very surprised if Stanley comes out of the line-up. He hasn't been a healthy scratch yet, unlike Miller, Fleury and Heinola. Also, in the playoffs last year the Jets played Stanley and pushed Samberg over to his weak side instead of playing Miller or Schmidt with Samberg on their usual sides.

Arniel is absolutely convinced that the Jets' best lineup includes Stanley.

he was also taken scratched after game 2 was only put back in because of the dillon injury and was scratched again for game 5, he also played the least out of all our d yesterday and has been getting less pk time recently and since our pk has been way better as of late his time may not be as secure as people think

Normally I agree 100% with your take Whileee, but last game, Arniel dropped Stanley's minutes to just over 9 mins. Unless he's battling an injury, this seems like a noticeable shift in Arniel's deployment. Stan did not kill penalties at all after being a -2, as Morrissey jumped into that role and Samberg seemed to be double shifted as a pk'er.

I think he had Stan in the lineup because they wanted that snarl, which Stan doesn't bring consistently or effectively, as we are very light in that area outside of Lowry. With Schenn, we have that element with a guy that can actually play effectively within his ability. If they were ever going to take Stan out of the lineup, it will be now with an effective replacement in Luke.

Still think a sizeable miss is not getting a LH dman with some size and snarl that can still skate for the 3rd pairing to replace Big Stan.

stanley has played more games in the Jets top-4 than he actually has been press-boxed. i'll have to see it to believe in regards of him being pb'd. the Jets were down the entirety of the game so morrissey and pionk pairs will play more

Jets fans deluding themselves into thinking that Stanley's ever coming out of the lineup:

If Schenn's acquisition moves Stanley to the press box, then it's probably a better move than I expected.

logan stanley pk time the past 7 games:
sens: 11 seconds
preds: 10 seconds
flyers: 6 seconds
islanders: 1:07 (samberg out)
flyers: 0 seconds
devils: 0 seconds
canes: 0 seconds

our pk has actually been a lot better recently and that's probably a big part of it, if they wanted someone on the backend with size they now have that with schenn, stanely will get the start with schenn but I would not be surprised if he is taken out

Do we know if Schenn is definitely getting into the lineup against the Rangers
yes, just don't know who he plays with

I'm hopeful for the playoffs, that Stan is s press box regular.

If he continues to play during the regular season, then I'm hopeful the coaches realize he's too big a risk in the playoffs and react accordingly.
