Just in case you haven't seen it...ignore the Tyreek stuff at the beginning, afterward he's talking about Field's scrambling

I actually went back and looked at McNabb's stats and they're surprisingly average given the narrative around him back from 2000-2006. That was a different era though and the passing game really didn't start to open up until the latter third of his career. You have to take it in context of his peers.

I guess the term "trap game" can be used in different ways and for different circumstances, but rarely is it used for a losing team that shouldn't be looking past any game. However, this Bears season is an outlier so maybe rules of thumb don't necessarily apply in this case as they don't in other cases this season.

The trap I'm referring to may be more in the minds of fans as it is inside the team - that being the Lion's defense (or lack thereof) seems tailor made for the next step in Fields' growth which is passing from the pocket. The Lions are bad in every aspect of their defense, including sacks and QB pressures which would seem to be perfect for the game plan to exploit that weakness and allow Fields to feel more comfortable and less hurried to go through his progressions and be decisive to deliver the ball to the correct spot.

So, my concern is that if we don't see the progression we think we should - is it a disappointment regardless if the Bears win the game or not? We all should realize progress isn't always linear but the super hype train is careening down the tracks and it won't take much to derail our over the top excitement because Bears fans have been starved for excellent QB play in probably everyone reading this' lifetime.

Is it f***ing possible to get PI called on a team that plays the bears. The defender wasn’t even playing the ball and held Kmets arm. Wtf

Is this going to be another game where NFL refs missed calls, and bullshit calls, ends up impacting the final result of a game? It is starting to feel like that kind of game.
