So is "Fields looking awesome" with that godawful pick six he threw that helped blow the game. He can run, I'll give him that. But we knew that.

This team blows a big 4th Q lead, allows 21 points to the pathetic Lions in about eight minutes and people here are happy.
So 1 pick 6 takes away all the very good the last 4 weeks? Every QB throws a pick 6. Every...single...QB.

Only meatball Bears fans can complain about a guy with 314 total yards, 4 total TDs and the only reason they lost was because of an extra point miss and terrible penalties on the defense. Hell, if the o-line can block worth a damn, Fields probably would've made something happen on that last play.

314 total yards, 4 total TDs.... lol god some of you are insufferable.

They're tanking bud. The team is completely devoid of talent....
And that's a reason to be happy because.....? Oh right, the Bears have that long and glorious history of drafting well, making good moves and spending their cap money wisely. I forgot lol. Probably explains why they've won a grand total of three playoff games this century, none in 12 years now.

This team just massively choked against the Lions at home. But hey the QB made some nice runs in addition to a horrible pick six so it's a.....win? Got it lol.

This team has sucked for most of our lives. At least right now they are sucking with purpose, and there's a legitimate reason to be excited about their QB. Everyone expected them to be terrible this season(except you, evidently). I don't get it.

Yeah we're part of that rare breed of fan that likes to see the team actually win, especially against rivals, instead of racking up stats. If blowing a two-TD lead at home to the goddam Lions makes you happy then hey, good for you.

Just another example of what a dumpster fire Chicago sports is right now.

Like I said below if you're happy with this, then good for you. I'm older I guess and have seen MANY seasons where they tank, or they have cap space and draft picks to use - and nothing happens. Like I said, three playoff wins this century and none in the last 12 years. So forgive me if I'm not banking on the future being bright any more.

The Bears have been a dumpster fire for decades. What shocks me is people who still get upset when the Bears do what we expect them to do.

Find another outlet if this loss upsets you that much.

Exactly. But people are happy here because the QB looked good (minus that awful pick-6 that helped blow the game) - and our draft position "improved" as if that means anything lol. Like I said if you're satisfied with yet another embarrassing loss, good for you. Sorry that some of us actually want to see improvement on the field with wins.

I just don't care. I'm not happy they lost. I'm completely indifferent. Because their record this season means nothing. They're not TRYING to win. That's why they traded two of their best defensive players. I don't expect them to win any of the games they play, and I don't expect to see any improvement this season. Fields showing ANYTHING is a f***ing miracle with the collection of stiffs they surrounded him with on offense. Hell, I'm at the point where I don't expect them to improve with wins on the field even when they're trying to...

You need to be able to detach yourself from the teams in seasons like this. There's no reason to be vested in this season at all.

This association. With things by sports fans are so wild and weird to me.

Simply mathematically a better chance of a draft pick panning out If it's 4th overall vs 9th overall. If you think the Bears are so awful at drafting all the time then you should still want the better odds scenario. And it's a totally new FO and staff that doesn't read connect to the past anyway

It's like the same thought of people saying Fields won't pan out, no Ohio State Qbs do... as if he has anything to do with Qbs coached by different people and schemes in different eras. The only thing connecting a Terrel Pryor, Smith, Herbstreet, or Fields is the school. It's not like it's a same scheme and coaching staff. There's no sensible association to these connections

I know right!
No 2nd year QB, trying to fully learn and utilize a new offensive scheme, with several new receivers has ever misread what’s in front of him and thrown a bad pick 6 before.
Chicago needs to cut this guy! What do you think BWC? Maybe they can get a 4th rd pick for him?

You can feel however you want, that’s fine. No one who disagrees is trying to force you to feel differently.

There will be 3 QB’s near the very top of this draft. There will be up to 7 teams hoping to snag 1 of them.
Fields has shown (my opinion) he’s a keeper.
If the Bears fall far enough to have their pick happen when 1 of those QB’s is still on the board they can move it for that teams 1st this year and next year and an additional 2nd or 3rd depending on where the other teams 1st is.
Falling in the standings while the QB and a few others develop is a very good thing for adding more high level talent.

Or you know you can say we still have major ? with Fields instead of crowning him "Franchise QB" and other nonsense

Amazing athlete but still has a lot of red flags as passer

The fact Fields can do no wrong ever here with some members is bigger issue then people still not sold on him

I would remind people of the "OMG yes Mitchell" stuff we say in year 2 of Trubisky around here

Fields still has a way to go as QB before we can even contemplate the "Franchise QB" and other stuff

-- With that said he is most promising Bears drafted QB since Harbaugh --

So, anyone else following the Broncos disaster

Wilson looks done and Hackett is inept

That Wilson trade looked bad at time it was made and could be one of the worst trades in NFL history potentially. Giving him that monster extension after trade makes it even more potentially historic blunder

Hackett looks at best a 1 and done HC if he isn't relieved of duties in coming weeks

How does improvement on the field happen? I’ll save you the time, it’s by getting better players. Losing now helps in acquiring future wins

Fields had a 99.4 QB rating today

Cowher and the rest of the mediots mad at the Jeff Saturday hire--how's the crow taste? I'm sure they'll continue to deflect that the win is just because of how bad the Raiders are. They don't ask how, just how many.

Any given Sunday, man.

And this reflects more poorly on the Raiders than positively on the Colts. But then again, the Raiders voluntarily hired a head coach that was a Patriots coordinator with a horrible previous head coaching record that pretty horribly spurned another team in a shockingly unprofessional fashion, so the Raiders deserve everything they're getting for voluntarily hiring that tricecta of ineptitude.

Where have I ever referred to Fields as a franchise QB?
He might get there but it’s too soon for that. It’s you who has done a better job of labeling him (as a negative).
You can claim supreme knowledge. What I know is many QB’s take 3 to 5 years to really excel at the NFL game.
What I know is there are 32 teams in the NFL and maybe MAYBE between 5 and 10 QB’s I rather start next week if winning was the intent. That’s pretty impressive for where he is developmentally.
What I know is that’s while only being in his 1st year of being developed in an actual system as the playbook is expanded he has grown weekly, improving his reads and lessening the errors.
We knew he had the arm and legs to be a solid #1. We have learned his leadership and team 1st qualities are exceptional.
You are seeing a kid improve weekly. I look forward to seeing him in November of 2023 with another year of growth and some talent around him.
