That makes it a little more palatable but at the end of the day it's still a guy who has been in only one organization. Even if you have different leadership, everyone knows every place of business has its own culture, no matter who is the leader. If we're hiring a younger/inexperienced guy, I'd much, much prefer someone who has worked in multiple places.

He was in the Saints scouting department from 2002 - 2012. Sure, his last job there was director of pro personnel, but most of his time there was in scouting.
