I also haven't seen Daniels ruled out. I get the impression that some NFL coaches use week-to-week like NHL coaches use day-to-day. Nate Davis was downgraded to week-to-week just before season started, and then practiced the whole week and played Sunday.

In Giants news:

I'm really glad the Bears got Odunze. I think Nabers is an excellent receiver, but I don't think he could handle getting as few targets as Odunze is getting right now. On that note, we're past the bye-week, I want to see Odunze's targets skyrocket.

I'm gonna make some assumptions based on what we saw in preseason, but I think that Bagent may be capable of being the starter on the following teams:

Dolphins*
Broncos
Raiders
Browns
Colts
Titans
Giants
Saints*
Panthers

* both the Dolphins and Saints have better starters who are injured right now

Under no scenario is Bagent playing over Joe Flacco in Indy

The old man continues to thrive

7 TD's and 1 INT in 3 games (2 starts) as Colt

Also, Bagent doesn't have an NFL arm

He is not better then Minshew, Levis, Rudolph, etc who generally suck but would play over noodle arm Bagent

Reality is Bagent is guy who will be more likely than not to be out of NFL in a couple years

Having a good backup is obviously really valuable but there has to be a point where the value he has to other teams as a starter is just too valuable for us to pass up in a deal.
How much do you think we can get for him?

This is why I wished the Bears would have waited to trade Fields

Can we just revel in the fact that there is a guy on the Chargers named DiCaprio Bootle?

Even though I thought about what would Fields look like in a Taysom Hill utility role, there was no way Fields was coming back as soon as Poles decided Caleb was going to be the pick.

Imagine, the company you work for has told you that "your services are no longer require" but before you leave, we want you to train your replacement, would you stay with the company? Keeping Fields was never an option.

If the Bears win on Sunday, they could have the 4th best record in the NFC, and also the 4th best record in the NFC North.

Crazy...

This has the potential to be a statement game for the Bears if Daniels plays and the Bears smoke them. I'm really looking forward to it with or without Daniels.

Do you have any idea how much Marvin Harrison Jr. would open up the field so Fields could pass the ball to exclusively DJ Moore or Cole Kmet?

But think of the running holes MHJ would open up for Fields after he decides not to throw to his first and only read.

I really don't think so. Has Washington played even an average D so far? Baltimore is the only quality D they've played, and they lost to them. The other teams they've played are total dogshit on both sides of the ball, and have like a combined 3 or 4 wins on the season. They've had a weak ass schedule to this point.

It's not that hard, NFL offensive coordinators. There are like five variations of this play. 10, if we count Fields ignoring the receivers and running as a separate play. Add in some read options and a few run plays, and you've got yourself a playbook. They're just overthinking it.

Baltimore's pass defense is also dogshit. I'd caution though that that doesn't mean that Kingsbury's offense is bad, or that Daniels isn't really good. It just means they're a bit more of an unknown.

And if we're being honest, it's the same thing with the Bears. I would guess that the Bears beat the Texans and Colts if they play like they did against the Jaguars, but it could just as easily be that the Jaguars just sucked.

I'm not saying I'm sold on Washington being a great team, but statement in the sense of the Bears finally beating an above .500 team this season and a division leader at that.

Bears have beaten up on bottom feeders more so than Washington when you combine the W/L and look at the W %'s of the teams they've beaten.

Sounds like Kyler won’t be back and brisker may not be back. Not good

Figured Kyler wouldn't be back anytime soon if at all. That looked like a bad injury. Brisker on the other hand is surprising and I figured he'd no doubt be back. Both huge losses, obviously.

To me it sounded like Brisker is likely. Working through the concussion protocol, but unless he has a setback, being out 3 weeks from a concussion would be unusual.

Kyler, yeah. Hamstrings are bad news. Would not surprise me if he misses multiple games. Do we still have that preseason phenom on the practice squad? Reddy Steward?

It's really interesting watching Steelers fans have some of the same debates over Fields as we used to. There are already Fields truthers among them (or maybe the same ones we had?) saying that if the o-line and playcalling were as good for Fields he would have been producing similar results as Wilson. So so close to grasping it
