Who is up for grabs?

What is going on with Haight? 2nd round NHL pick and 9 points in 20 games. Does he need a change of scenery?
Clarke will for sure be back in the O. Lets be real, if LA had any intention of him being in the NHL he would have dressed his 10th game by now. LA isn sub par team anyway.

Question is, will he even dress for Barrie when he's back? Howie is a seller. Marty will do what Howie says because Howie is paying Marty's bills.

The Haight deal I like for what we've observed. @Generalsupdates let me know when the database is updated. Should be 6 2nds in just 2024 for Barrie now? plus many others.

Clarke is the best player in the O. I don't like Petes draft stock but I do like Van Volsen. Give me 1st round player and atleast 5 high end picks for Clarke.

Cardwell leads the league in points per game? I believe he also leads the CHL as well? He's an OA, but theres value, same for Vierling.

Trade Thornton & Cholach as well. Give Akey the C.

He is getting a change of scenery...heading to Saginaw for a boatload of picks
With an import slot open, and you guys set to go all in this year, and Saginaw looking to beef up for next year’s Memorial Cup bid, would Haight be going to Saginaw in a deal for Mintyukov?

mintyukov is eligible to be traded at any time, he could have been part of this one. they probably do move him but its not part of this trade. barrie is trending to sell mode.

Clarke is still at 9 NHL gp going on 6 weeks. I don’t think any colts player can be had on sale yet

clarke is 100% back.

How about send clarke home to ottawa for mews & pinelli?
If/when Clarke is back, the colts might use the picks from Haight trade to acquire Wright if/when returned.

It would have to be an unlikely multi-player deal to get those two. Pinelli is helping the ‘67s now, and ‘67s board hoping for an OA centre.

How about the other Pinelli?

Anyone else feel like this is an overpay for Haight? Is he out there dominating but just not finding the box score?

Even if you call it a reclamation project, he’s a former first round ohl pick and 2nd round nhl pick. That’s worth AT LEAST a 2nd and 3rd. Then if he returns to form the other three picks are certainly warranted for the extra year of service. Seems like a proper price.

barrie & saginaw are prob the closest trading partners in the league.

are these picks going back to you for mintyukov?

honestly, i dont think your wrong. its not like he produced at a high clip last year either. he produced well, but not nearly as well as alot of his peers.

i dont know. what would thornton even be worth? haight wanted out for a while so it may just be more of that then a sell off. thornton being up for trade may be because he hasnt played well. well see.

who knows maybe they flip those picks to kingston with beaudin for wright and get clarke back.

Haight is not dominant, electrifying at times maybe. If comparing to Stillman trade, it’s just about right, I think.

Way better team with Wright & Arcuri than Haight & Beaudoin. Way better team with just Clarke.

But that’s probably what it takes to have the best shot at the east.

Lol, another one I thought was an overpay!

Maybe that's the going rate. Probably why we don't see too many of these players moved at 18.

With the OHL being a memorial cup host year, we might see a few.

Along with McTavish and Xhekaj, Stillman was one of three prizes at last years deadline imo. High end all situation forwards are not easy to come by. I’m pretty certain London was in on him until the last minute.

I guess I just don't understand how you can take the same type of player 1 year earlier and they are only worth 2,3,4,5,6 (Outwater). What has Haight really done to make one fewer year of him worth that much more than Outwater?

Every year is different for costs of players in trades. Its the going rate that someone is willing to pay. Wondering if Barrie figures with mem cup in OHL next year that they will use those picks to build for next year when two teams from ohl go to mem cup? Tight race this year to put all in for it?
