I think those last two are injured.

Bordeleau and Studnicka both finished Saturday's game without any incident, so I'm not sure how they'd have gotten injured since then. They could be sick, I guess, something has been going around.

Speaking of which, Makiniemi was held out due to illness on 1/27 (the night we had an EBUG) and he's now been out almost two weeks.

I want Brandon Coe to play more physical, but it seems like whenever he does, he winds up in the box.

Condors score on the PP after a Coe interference call, 1-0.

Lindblom sneaks one in on a wraparound from a sharp angle. I don't know how that one went in. 1-1.

Cuda are starting to wake up after what was a very unimpressive start to the game.

--

End of the first. Not really a ton going on so far. Cuda took two penalties early and then calmed themselves down.

We've had a couple stoppages this period for issues with the ice along the boards. Had one last time we were here, too.

Barracuda come up empty on their first power play, but had some good chances. Todd hits the post. Still 1-1. Shots are now 18-10 Cuda.

---

Right after I say that, Condors score. 2-1 Bakersfield. Knyzhov is really having a rough game.

End of the second, 2-1 Condors.

Absolutely frustrating second period. Barracuda outshot the Condors 19-5 and couldn't get anything past Rodrigue, who's having a great game. They've just got to keep the pressure on.

Barracuda FINALLY tie it up. Good God.

Guryev blasts one from the point with a bunch of traffic in front, and it is 2-2.

Barracuda are outshooting the Condors, 41-15. This might be the best game we've played all season, and we're not even winning.

We're headed to OT.

We got to overtime, Mukhamadullin loses the puck right off the faceoff and Cassels takes a hooking call trying to slow the Condors down, Lavoie scores on the power play to win it for Bakersfield. 3-2 Bakersfield is your final, with the final shot count 42-19 SJ.

I can't even with this damn team.

Barracuda lead the league with 8 overtime losses. We are in fact #1 in something.

Jacob Peterson is at least starting to look like he's getting back to his old self. This was the best I've seen him look since he came back from injury.

I mentioned it earlier but Knyzhov was glaringly bad tonight. Guys were just skating right around him, that'd be why he took two minor penalties in this one. Unusual from him.

We've got the Condors again, at home, 6:00 tomorrow.

Peterson opens up the scoring, Cuda applying heavy pressure early. 1-0.

Still 1-0 after one period, 17 shots for the Cuda in that one. We are just peppering their goalies this weekend. Huge save by Romanov near the end to keep them scoreless, though.

Broberg just headed to the back, that’s interesting. Didn’t see anything happen to him.

Cuda got it in the net twice so far in the second, both waved off.

Bakersfield gets one right at the end of the second period, a turnover on a really poor breakout by us. So it’s 2-1 Cuda after two.

Getting really chippy.

Sitting here watching Vancouver/Wenatchee whl game and looking across at the benches thinking to myself that wenatchee's head coach looks really really familiar but I can't place it.

5 minutes later: "oh snap it's Roy Sommer!"

Had no idea they got him to replace Kevin Constantine. Someone in that org music like former Shark coaches.

Now that was a fun one. We were all over them early, and then the game leveled out. Very relieved we pulled it out, I was going to go nuts if we blew yet another two goal lead.

I'm going to put this one out there: I think Nathan Todd (#45) gets a callup soon, followed by a bunch of salty replies to it asking why we'd call him up, and who that even is. Since 2024 began: 17GP, 7G, 10A from Todd. Tonight, 3 goals on 8 shots. I want to see him get his first NHL game sooner rather than later. He's not a prospect, he's more of an extreme late bloomer. 28 years old, was an ECHLer up until 2020.

I'm also getting much higher on Guryev as of late. He is just a large bully of a defenseman, and he doesn't look out of place paired with Muk.

By the way, Broberg never returned. Looks like he got rocked by a hit from Bellerive. So that sucks for the Oilers if he misses time right now.

Ummmmmm......

I posted that months ago when he was hired. And it was mentioned multiple times during AHL HOF last weekend.
