Vids/Interviews of the line brawl. Free article as well.

Awesome to see that kind of sticking up for each other. Seems to be something that’s been missing for a long time. Sounds like it’s something that McCarthy is emphasizing.

Can somebody who's been watching AHL games tell me how the young guys look? Should we be concerned that Eklund and Bordeleau aren't tearing it up?

Yeah, not gonna lie, a little concerned about Eklund and Bordeleau. I understand the Barracuda is just a bad team, but they should be able to shine regardless. I'm sure Quinn had them prioritize two-way play in the AHL, and perhaps other less offense-generating objectives, but still, the raw skill is there and should be showing through more on the scoreboard.

Only thing I'm "concerned" about is the Barracuda continuing to play this perimeter, dump-heavy offense.

David Quinn had a quote a little while back about how the Sharks needed to earn ice. "Don't go around them, go through them." If he could deliver that message to this Cuda team, that'd be great.

Go through the defense. Skate the puck into the zone. Stop throwing it away.

When I was looking at their stats and the points for the Cuda players, I was like... wow, they really aren't scoring. Even looking at Eklund and Bordeleau and I was like, why are they scoring low? Oh, that's why. Hope the teams finally finds a breakthrough and start scoring more regularly.

Unfortunately a poorly timed article release, as Pouliot just went down with an injury last night.

Hopefully he or Hatakka are healed up by this weekend because we otherwise have 6 healthy defensemen including Constantinou. I still have awful memories of our revolving PTO defense corps from last year.

(edit: And right as I post this, Harrington goes on waivers. So, maybe we've got a little depth after all.)
