Genuinely don’t understand why people are going to bat for Ozzy Wiesblatt, who is and always has been a horrible prospect from day one and never going to make the NHL for anything more than a few games on the 4th line.

Problem is that there’s literally only like three guys in the entire 2nd round that would have been worth taking over him, and one of them is Bordeleau. Just a horrible draft overall at 32nd overall and beyond. Hard to blame Junior for that one even if I’ve always hated the Wiesblatt pick.

The guy I really wanted was Peterka but the org passed on him twice so they obviously weren’t interested.

All but one of his assists are primaries. I've been surprised how well he moves the puck.

Doesn't hurt that he's paired with Merkley, they're working well together.

Good to hear. I loved him in the NHL but just couldn’t put it together. Seems like Ryan Murphy 2.0.

I recall Merkley hitting Pouliot streaking down the side like that in the first game for a goal.
Don't know if that'll work that much in the NHL but who knows.

He's 28 years old with more than 200 career NHL games. It's not like he hasn't had ample opportunity to stick.
