Jesus what did I miss. Just checked in on the Bake right now and the boys went off tonight. Lander has gotta be getting a call up soon 20P in 12 games. We miss him on the PK without a doubt.

Wouldn't it be unreal if all Lander needed was a little bit of confidence in his offense and a reminder that he can score? How sick would it be for him to come back as a legit 3C.

Today's the day of the Condors outdoor game, not sure if it's on TV anywhere.

FTW
They're playing in pouring rain outside in Bakersfield. It's crazy. Splashing water all over the ice.

Some quites from the Puljujarvi thread related to Bakersfield:

He looks so different in this game,

Showed his speed in the 1st shift right away.
On the 2nd shift made a back check which lead to Condors goal
3rd shift made a great play from behind the net, showed patience with the puck, the guy just shot it wide :(
On powerplay was moving the puck well, made a between the legs drop pass if I saw it right

Seems to be able to keep the puck, be patient and make plays at this level.
Looks good on the forecheck again.
+These guys are praising his skating stride.

Pulju had to be one of the best players on that 1st period.
He and Khaira are going to be a nightmare duo at the AHL level.

He was used on the one timer spot on the pp, they couldn't give him a shot there though so he was making plays.

Of course I'd love to see him in the NHL playing real minutes(wasn't happening) but looking at this 20 this makes so much more sense than playing him 8 mins or sitting him at the press box.

Good 1st game for Pulju.

1 assist,
I believe +2,
stong effort level, was always moving,
had the puck, had chances, created few chances.

Can't wait to see how he'l look like in 2-4 weeks.

Thanks for posting BB88!

JP did look good last night considering he just got off the plane. Played 20 minutes which he has not done in the NHL and played with a team that he has NEVER played with previously. He did get thumped on his first shift into the boards but got up and stayed with the line. Later in third he was clearly boarded but no call.

Over all yes he looked good and his speed did shine. he definitely needs more work here. Now with lander here this could get interesting. If Fleming puts JP-Lander and Beck on the same line this has the potential to be the #1 line in this league.

I think JP will look better as he gets adjusted to his new team mates as well as the amount of ice time and PP/PK time.

LB did not face many shots but both goals had merit. The first he was out of position. this can be attributed to his defense being in the wrong place. We did the same thing to them on our first goal of the night. The second was a beautiful tip in form in front of LB. There was little to no chance of stopping it. Overall he was impressive stopping some great shots form the slot. The Ramgage goal tender was phenomenal. Ye she let in 5 goals on I think 39 shots but he allowed little to no rebounds. Had he allowed any rebounds the score would have been double digits

2 goals and an assist for Anton so far tonight.

He is the Sidney Crosby of the AHL.

He's the Alexandre Giroux of the AHL.

I wonder if it's frustrating for him to see players around the AHL that he's clearly better than at that level go up and find success at the NHL level that he's never been able achieve.

He's an RFA at the end of the year, but I can't help but think this is the year that he decides to go make quite a bit of money in the KHL and be an elite player in that league.

Yeah it's probably time for him to go to the KHL and make some bank, if he wants to come back I'd still offer him a two-way contract, he clearly makes our AHL squad way better and he's still a decent depth fill-in for injury on the big club. If he could only skate better I'm sure he'd be a permanent fixture on the big club, but it seems that will be what stops him from ever being relevant in the NHL.

yeah i think everybody expects this... i doubt a NHL team gives him a 1-way deal again.... but its not like he hasn't made a lot of money already, he has around $4-5 million in earnings so far in his career... i know the KHL doesn't pay like it used to as well.... so it wouldn't shock me to see him try the NHL dream on one more team, even on a 2-way contract
