Kopech has been lights out in the pen also, when healthy. Wonder if they move him to starter next year, however.

They likely aren't done adding to the bullpen. The relief market should explode very shortly right before the deadline as there are lots of names to move in a little time frame. Also, the impact that Pearson can have in the pen shouldn't be understated. Just look at what he did in the Wild Card series last year. He is like 2015 Aaron Sanchez on steroids out of the bullpen.

Sure hope so, the number of time's this team has choked up a lead by the bull pen... disheartening...

I needed 1 more k from Ryu last night lol they pulled him after 6 an I don't disagree in a 15-1 game haha. Montoya threw a couple unproven relievers in to finish up to see what he had
 
I wonder if we will see the Ax-man added to the roster for the second half?

I feel the lack of offense makes them similar an reeses defense is better also. Is it a hot streak or is it the first real chance he's gotten to start in the majors

Just because of his wanking incident doesn't mean he's a bad ball player. If it can happen to you it can happen to me
 
Wow Madrigal for Kimbrel Former top 5 pick for a reliever. Like Martin and SWR going for Berrios.
 
Madrigal is essentially the same profile as Martin. Good hitter with no power. Madrigal doesn’t strike out though.
 
This isn't a good trade by Kyle. Oh wait.
In all seriousness though, like the pitcher, price is terrible. I got down on SWR so it's not bad to send him with the concerns, but Martin is a huge overpayment. This needs to work out and need to extend Berrios.

If you are going all in though, we need more. He can't be the only guy we trade for.
 
On one hand this seems like a big overpayment.

On the other hand, the stock of both prospects was pretty clearly falling. And this management group has been pretty good at evaluating what they have in-house.

Will be a fascinating trade to follow over the next few years. They’ve either smartly sold high on some declining assets or made another Dickey deal.
