After 64 pages I can’t fathom that I’m still reading: ‘there’s nothing wrong with asking for family photos.’ Have you not read the reports that have been released, this goes well beyond casually asking for family photos.

All this does is tell us Babs learned nothing, and has no idea on how to communicate with other human beings................guy is a big douche. Pure bully.

Most surprisingly, apparently several of these incidents happened at Babcock’s house. In at least one of the incidents reported to Whitney, a young player was invited for lunch, told to take out his phone, had Babcock flip through his photos and then told him to leave… without lunch. He sounds like a sociopath.

Some other stories about babcock were shared. One older player who hasn’t quite cracked the NHL yet said that he was sitting on the bench in an empty arena taping his stick before the final preseason game in Anaheim. Babcock came and sat next to him, said something along the lines of “this is pretty amazing isn’t it?.” When the player he agreed, Babcock continued; “soak it in, it’s the last time you’ll ever be on an NHL bench.” Serial killer behavior.

Babcock has not pulled this only on players, he did it with all the coaches in Toronto.

Ok but that’s a little different, asking his coaches to share a photo, then it is to say to a younger player “give me your phone” and proceed to scroll thru photos and texts and Snapchat messages for minutes at a time

To everybody saying "I would just say no if my boss told me to hand over my phone." Yes you would. But these young players have been conditioned since like age 5 to do whatever coach says, in a very symbiotic, insular, pack existence. They finally make the NHL, and their first NHL coach asks them to do something, there's going to be an inner conflict there.

For the "Babs just trying to be nice, but lacks social skills" takes, he knows exactly what he's doing. That's why he acts differently towards veterans and younger players. If he lacked social skills or couldn't understand those nuances, then he would act the same to all players.

Babs probably thinks (perhaps rightly so, to a degree) that these methods is what separated him from (what he considers) mere mortal coaches, and that it made him great, and that if he abandoned said methods he wouldn't be as successful (again, perhaps rightly so, to a degree).

Only people I feel for a little here is his kids. There was some quote I came across somewhere where his daughter had said something like "dad, it's not what you say, it's how you say it", which is still doubtful, but yeah, still can't be nice to have half the hockey world calling your dad a scumbag (even if he is one).

Oh okay, it makes sense that the other stories are coming out and he was mentioning Barrie. So he talked to Barrie, just not necessarily about the CBJ stuff directly, more about his Leafs Babs stuff.

My understanding is that Babs resigned so he won't get paid.

That's would be what is known as a "misunderstanding" because it's wrong.

He certainly got money, Jarmo literally thanked him for his professionalism "as they worked out a plan" for him to step down. That plan was 1000% financial on Babs end. That information will never be released, though.

People have screen shots of the deleted tweets. These 'Journalists' clearly have an agenda and would rather push that then discussing the actual truth.
