Nah.....my life would be ruined if my boss or anyone else got hold of my phone!NHL has gone soft. My life is ruined.
I see a lot of posters claiming this is like your boss at work, but I don't think with your McDonald's boss, you travel on the bus or plane to work everyday with them, or you spend the night together in the hotel with your boss, or you sit down after work and go over video of what you did or didn't do right for a couple hours. I'm pretty sure you clock out and stay away from your boss as much as possible, but will try and compare them as the same.
Actually I've been voicing my opinion, and people want to keep replying to me to argue because they don't agree with my views, I'm not arguing everyone else is doing that.
That's exactly what majority of the people here are doing I see, they've come to their own conclusion on what they believe is the truth, when the truth hasn't even come out, no substantial evidence. You’re debating the voices in your head about imaginary details you think you know or don’t know and then compare them to endless hypothetical nonsense for no reason.
It’s wild.
“Your hypothetical boss, the photos in your wallet and how that relates to how forcefully Babcock snatched phones out of players’ hands…”
Nah, they went to apodcast with a history of shitting of Babcock to say “get a load of this nugget!”
This wasn’t anything of the sort thoughChelios is the first person to discuss Babcock’s disturbing emotional abuse of Franzen in a Dec 2019 on SC, Franzen then opens up about it in an interviews in Sweden.
This becomes part of a “history of shitting on Babcock” for emotional abuse fans.
He was probably just trying to connect with the players - the photo thing. Trying to be their "friend".I’ve listened to id say 5-8 different podcasts on the situation. Read a few articles as well. The consensus is pretty clear. It was one younger athlete that we know of that was uncomfortable. Many podcast and radio shows asked former players both in Detroit and Toronto if they had dealt with this situation while they had Babcock as a coach. Some said yes, some said no. Some said they didn’t mind it, some said they weren’t asked to share photos but would have said no.
I’m not defending Babcock at all, I think it’s a weird request from a coach. But I think if any other coach asks the same question it’s a non story. But because Babcock has a history of manipulation and mind games his motivation behind this is questioned. Don’t think it’s as Egregious as people are making it to seem tbh.
He's their coach, did he hire these players? Isn't that what a boss does he hires people, how is he their boss if he didn't hire them? It's not about control it's about being a family on a team, and trusting one and another, there's no I in team, it's a team game.Is Babcock not their boss? Also you seem to be arguing that Babs has more control over these ppl than a regular boss (ie almost like a superboss), if so an invasion of privacy would be worse than it would be with a regular boss.
Wtf are you even arguing right now
It's often the worst bosses that get the most out of employees - Elon Musk, Steve Jobs, etc. Management hires these kind of people for a reason.Disappointing to see for such a great coach but sounds like he's a real jerk
Probably cause a perceived invasion of privacy isn’t a fireable offense
Phone is a personal computer in ur pocket. Lucky this happened in nhl. In a real league player would have ended the coach. Why aren't players so worried about photos they put online for the world to see? But worried if a coach asks to see them on their phone?
Like calling someone dumb isn't making pithy remarks lol ok whatever you say. You're not arguing but you insist on making pithy remarks where you insinuate anyone disagreeing with you must be working at McDonalds?
Also, you've already answered your own question with one of your other dumb questions. First you whined that players post their photos on social media, so they should be okay with Babs going through their phones. Then, you asked how could Babs possibly get to know them when they don't carry photos of their family I'm their wallet. Maybe look at their social media?
Have you ever worked at a company before? Often your direct boss/supervisor didn’t hire you. He's their coach, did he hire these players? Isn't that what a boss does he hires people, how is he their boss if he didn't hire them? It's not about control it's about being a family on a team, and trusting one and another, there's no I in team, it's a team game.

I don't want my boss to know me. I only want him to PAY meI guess if you're that sensitive with your coach getting to know you...
Does Babcock pay them?I don't want my boss to know me. I only want him to PAY me
Bab is a socially awkward weirdo so who knows. That's exactly what majority of the people here are doing I see, they've come to their own conclusion on what they believe is the truth, when the truth hasn't even come out, no substantial evidence.
Not a donut guy. Enjoy salads and steakFinns are some

Have you? You do realize the boss hires a coach right?Have you ever been employed?
I want my boss/supervisor to do their job and I’ll do mine.Does Babcock pay them?
