Right,

Just like Quenneville "resigned" after a meeting with Bettman. They must have had no basis to terminate him either.

They probably left sexual assault off of the CBA too. :sarcasm:

Fun fact:

The right to privacy (and criminal acts) takes precedence above labour laws.

Which is usually why it's not explicitly mentioned in labour laws.

If your labour law does not mention you are not allowed to be sexually assaulted, it does not mean you are now allowed to be sexually assaulted...thankfully.

Maybe it's different where you live.

Bye bye Mike and all the Boomers that defended your exploiting of power dynamics and privacy violations on teenagers.
I'm also waving bye bye, but being a "boomer" as some sort of explanation for his behaviour is way off.

Try asking a "boomer" if you can have full access to their phone or iPad.

Not happening and my photos are none of your business.

Babcock is clearly just a freaking weirdo bully type.

Buh Bye.

People were actually trying to defend this guy up until this part.

Put your hand up if that was you.

That’s a whole lotta buzz words for one post.

Remember, Matlock comes on at 6:00 and your pills are on the counter.
I'm only 38. That's before my time. Good try though

They aren't opposites. Car, phone, house, and so on. All are private property. You can replace dime bag with tampons and we'll meet somewhere in the middle.
You compared a phone to a literal drug deal. Wtf kinda drugs you on bro?

If a boss of mine asked me to unlock my phone and started flicking through my photos it would be time for hands.

Absolutely justified firing (we all know it was a firing), the snowflakes that would let their workplace superiors look at private photos of their wives are a certain type of bird known for laying eggs in other birds' nests.

I am loving every single post that follows the lines of how the youth handled this poorly, or that players are soft, or that today's culture is to blame for this.

A chronic power hungry narcissist coach once again over stepped. Yet they don't find the issue in him and his much detailed history. They do not listen when Jason York, Chelios, Franzen, or Corrado speak about him. They instead want to blame workers who did not want to be harassed, benches, and targetted.

We all know these people would complain and cry if they had someone like Babcock as their boss, but because it is rich athletes who had to deal with it - they should just suck it up. I for one love the idea in whatever workplace, toxic harrassment, games, and manipulations are being phased out.

I expected something like this to happen with Babcock at some point but I really did not see him resigning before coaching even a single preseason game. Incredible stuff.

He probably resigned because there is so much garbage in his bag that this gets him off with a clean sheet, but probably never coach again or employed in hockey anywhere.

It wasn't literal, as it was hypothetical. Sorry that you think weed is the issue there. The car was the point, and, as a business owner, I'd fire anyone who invaded my employees property. Hell, I even tell clients to f off if they don't respect the people who work for me.

Young players now know how to get the coach fired, just say that he did something that made you feel uncomfortable and voila, you got rid of the coach, but players can do pretty much whatever they want off the ice and it's all good. It's all about feelings nowadays, don't invade my personal space it makes me feel uncomfortable  And one last thing Mike please stay away from hockey brother you don't need the stress you have plenty of money go fishing enjoy life. Good luck to you.

And Bissonnette is a hypocrite, he will protect players, he will keep all their little dirty secrets but he will go after coaches, I have no respect for people that talk on both side of their mouth like Bissonnette

"While meeting with Babs he asked me about my family and where I'm from, my upcoming wedding and hockey-related stuff. He then asked if I had pictures of my family and I was happy to share some with him. He showed me pictures of his family.

"I thought it was a great first meeting and a good way for us to start to build a relationship. To have this blown out of proportion is truly disappointing."

I'm not sure when you think Joel Quenneville sexually assaulted someone, or how that is relevant. ...or why you think a vague statement of privacy laws in Canada applies to Columbus when it is not in the CBA. Either way...I think we've run our course.

How many more people are going to DM me about my willingness to see how this played out and not immediately assume Babcock had done shitty things, or go back and ironically react to my posts.

@Adrianopolous Thanks for the DM, you f***ing hero.

"So a podcast consisting of:

A has-been
A never was
A who the hell is that

That has a history of promoting toxic 'bro viewpoints and lifestyles and constantly attacking people they don't like is somehowmore trust worthy than numerous reporters, players, staff, and general thought?"

Being professionally toxic is WAY worse than cancel culture.

How the hell do you expect people to advance into roles with enough experience to manage?

Thinking you’re not approaching this accurately.

Take some time from the side of the internet that works to dumb you down.
