They are in New York and Chychrun met them there.
Great! I'm sure that TSN now has a dedicated paparazzi team assigned to him.

Teams above them that due to selloffs or inconsistency I think Ottawa will pass include Nashville, Washington and Florida. That would put them at 16 correct? I almost see that as a best case but I was wrong once before.
Yes. I first believe Ottawa will continue to surge and catch the Islanders. If they don't and miss the playoffs I believe they will have the most points of all non-playoff teams including Nashville. That's what I was trying to say.Nashville's in the West. Non-playoff teams always draft before playoff teams regardless of record ie East / West cutoff line.
In order for OTT to pick 16 they'll have to have the most points of any non-playoff team in the east and west. If OTT passes WSH, FLA they're still not in the playoffs (currently NYI, PIT in last two spots, BUF still ahead of them in #9 spot in east). CGY also has more points than OTT (currently in the 9 spot in the west), OTT would have to pass them too
Hates Canadian media and blasts them at every chance. Wants news on NHL and their own team and heads to.....you guessed it......Canadian media to get info.Great! I'm sure that TSN now has a dedicated paparazzi team assigned to him.
I agree. I guess it shouldn't surprise me that so many posters are supporting BA and trying to rationalize the return as close to what BA was saying he going to get for a return. Its not. BA over played his hand, Chych was worth way less than he thought he was.If the pick ends up 10 - 15 I can certainly live with this. I do believe though that the Sens make the playoffs and it ends up in the 20's. If that happens Armstrong gambled and lost.

I think it depends on his play in Ottawa, if he plays out his contract like he has this season, that's probably the expectation so long as there isnt a major market shift in prices. If he underperforms, I'm going to assume it'll be closer to $7m than $9.5m.Serious question. What's Chychrun's next contract look like? 8x$9.5M?
Yes. But their strength of schedule is like 5th most difficult, right?Teams above them that due to selloffs or inconsistency I think Ottawa will pass include Nashville, Washington and Florida. That would put them at 16 correct? I almost see that as a best case but I was wrong once before.
Hoo boy. They better treat him more gently. He's playing tonight according to Sen's. He was not scheduled for the morning practice, however. He'll be 2nd pairing with Sanderson tonight against the Rangers.
The photo was by Gord Wilson, Sens Color Commentator. So you did get your info from Canadian Media. It's just entertainment.I don't hate Canadian media. I hate Canadian sports radio talking heads, specifically. The rest of it is merely annoying, like most sports journalism is.
That photo I saw, by the way, was retweeted by someone else I follow, but if that derails your narrative of me being a MASSIVE HYPOCRITE then please disregard that piece of objective reality!
The trade works for both teams. Ottawa gets a player they want for a reasonable price as they try to move to next level. The Coyotes get a few chances to add to team down the road as the rebuild continues. There's too much TBD to really judge this trade fairly. I don't love it, I don't hate it right now. It's better than two late firsts and a second. Kudos to BA for sticking to his guns. The market is the market.

LMFAO journalist! You're funny!I disagree with Tucker on Ukraine but he is one of the few remaining independent journalists. He had a great interview with Theo Fleury and Don Cherry some time ago
Is it possible, just possible, that BA was playing us all in order to try to inflate Chychrun's value? I remember thinking that BA was asking for a crap ton of value back for Chychrun, and then I just bought into it. I'm beginning to think that we were all played by BA.
I have to think he took a good hard look at their schedule and took that into serious consideration. Perhaps what we have here is actually fair value and that’s why everyone is upset.
OK let's stay away from politics. But that interview with Fleury was interesting. And if you have time Fleury's book "Playing with fire"is worth readingLMFAO journalist! You're funny!
Scenario 5— Ottawa qualifies for 2023 playoffs but doesn't advances to Eastern finalsDo I have these 4 scenarios correct? Missing anything?
Scenario 1 — Ottawa does not qualify for 2023 playoffs & does not win top-5 lottery pick in 2023 draft, OR Ottawa qualifies for 2023 playoffs BUT does not advance to Eastern Final
Arizona receives:
2023 1st (6 to 16th overall)
2024 2nd (Washington’s)
2026 2nd
Scenario 2 — Ottawa does not qualify for 2023 playoffs & wins a top-5 lottery pick in 2023 draft
Arizona receives:
2024 1st (unprotected)
2024 2nd (Washington’s)
2026 2nd
Scenario 3 — Ottawa qualifies for 2023 playoffs & advances to Eastern Final
Arizona receives:
2023 1st
2024 1st (top-10 protected)
2026 2nd
Scenario 4 — Ottawa qualifies for 2023 playoffs & advances to Eastern Final, BUT 2024 1st lands within top-10 picks
Arizona receives:
2023 1st
2025 1st (unprotected)
2026 2nd
Fluery is a certifiable nut job. The book was a good read though. Fluery and former Canadian skating champ Jamie Sale are scary twitter operators. Sale is former Wife of Craig Simpson.OK let's stay away from politics. But that interview with Fleury was interesting. And if you have time Fleury's book "Playing with fire"is worth reading
Fleury is a wack job. His harder than ot should have been life has definitely caught up to him.OK let's stay away from politics. But that interview with Fleury was interesting. And if you have time Fleury's book "Playing with fire"is worth reading
I don't have to agree with people to find their stories interesting.By the way in that interview with Tucker Fleury said"It doesn't matter who plays the sport. The reason why we play the game and reason why the game is so amazing is that it is for everybody"I think we can all agree with thatFleury is a wack job. His harder than ot should have been life has definitely caught up to him.
