Larkin exists. If ASP was here today, he would already be our best skater. As in how he skates.

Not talking about just speed here. ASP's lateral movement and agility is a joy to watch.Larkin exists.
His skating looks a good bit better than I thought it was pre-draft. Also looks more dynamic with the puck too. Pretty encouraged by him overall. Not talking about just speed here. ASP's lateral movement and agility is a joy to watch.
He plays like a young Filip Hronek. It's a joy to watch.
Let’s hope ASP turns out to be more like the younger version of Hronek than the >7M version (0+2 this far)He plays like a young Filip Hronek. It's a joy to watch.
I see your point but not sure I get the Quinn Hughes reference. He played in NA his whole life. Can Quinn Hughes play effectively on the smaller ice?
For, me it looks like ASP does not need any extra width in size rink, when he goes just through the middle of the ice to score.
I hope you are right, he’s a stud so farHe will be even better in NA. His fast thinking and hockey IQ will help
Not nearly enough giveaways. And his facial hair doesn’t incite my rage.l the same way Hronek’s did.
Oof. Really losing a lot of respect for Ogee here. Mustachioed Hronek was maybe the best thing to happen to the Red Wings in several yearsHey, Hronek played his best Wings hockey with that awesome facial hair he had. Shaved it off and then regressed.
I'm usually negative about prospects, and I'm excited about this one.I hope you are right, he’s a stud so far
This guy has too much information in his head and of course he could make some mistakes. He also called Soderblom defansman. Still , there are lots of things for improvement for ASP. Most importantly needs to get faster. That Scouching guy thinks Neiderbach is still Red Wings property. Probably not the best guy on YouTube to put any stock in his content. He also says Cossa is a depth goalie and Mazur is a maybe.
Huh? The video is very good and super detailed. What do you disagree with exactly? That Scouching guy thinks Neiderbach is still Red Wings property. Probably not the best guy on YouTube to put any stock in his content. He also says Cossa is a depth goalie and Mazur is a maybe.

...so what do you disagree with exactly? ASP's speed? His defensive play? What about that will be better on the smaller ice? I'd like to hear your thoughts as I think these are significant hurdles for him to overcome to reach his high-end potential. I think I get what you mean about the speed not being as much of a factor on smaller ice, I guess we'll see. But I do think he will have to rely on his very good passing and deception to create space against NHL competition instead, which could limit his game overall, especially in the defensive and neutral zone.I laid it out. He predicts Cossa is mid. He thinks Mazur is a bust. He thinks both Kasper and Danielsson are depth.
And he thinks Neiderbach is Wings property. I also don't think he understands ASP is on big ice.

“Sandin Pellikka’s skating is a thing of beauty. His stride is technically sound. His straight-line speed is excellent. When it comes to his first few steps, or acceleration, he is explosive.” Axel Sandin Pellikka Scouting Report: 2023 NHL Draft #12.
“He can be at a stand still while his opponent is in full stride and he still can create space for himself. He can be at top speed and he pulls pucks off the wall with his eyes up looking past the nearest opponent so he can locate the passing or shooting lanes. “ -
“His skating is at an elite level now, with great lateral mobility that allows him to get from mid ice to the boards very quickly “ -https://neutralzone.com/nhl-scouting-reports/axel-sandin-pellikka/
I always thought his skating ability was elite but his speed was well below average. I think he looks legitimately slow through the entire video. Maybe you think differently. I guess it could still develop but when you're that good of a skater already, do you think there's that much room for improvement? A bad skater loses a lot of speed with bad technique but I don't think that's the case at all for ASP.His skating is fine. He is still developing.
"Very good" is debatable.Huh? The video is very good and super detailed. What do you disagree with exactly?
Certainly. Everyone will have their opinion. I think it's very good but certainly not perfect. There are some nitpicky stuff that I'm not sure why he'd even mention and comes off as overly negative. I don't think the game he has chosen shows a lot of ASP's real strengths like shooting and deception (just a bit in this game). Like others have mentioned, I think he should have touched on the differences between small and big ice."Very good" is debatable.
Yeah, just not personally a fan of the guy. I watched him try to find holes in Owen Power's game for a year that did not exist. I watched him use a random shift to try to quantify Rossi's skating. I think he does some goofy stuff and I don't agree with him too often. But to each their own. I think he does put a lot of time into it and I can understand others enjoying his content.Certainly.
