For as athletic as he is, he looks so calm in net. Darcy swam 5 miles every game.

Also, every middle to upper tier player who comes here (Donskoi, Burakovsky, Nuke etc) go to a completely different and new level, and I see that will happen with Galchenyuk. He'll become that 3rd overall player and score at 60 point pace, you watch.

Nuke came to us, having scored 10 assists in 57 games in Dallas
Donkoi was scoring in 50-60 games with us what he was entire seasons elsewhere
Kadri was scoring 40-50 points - now is an elite top 20 NHL producer

As always I appreciate your optimism, but the 2C spot needs to be filled and I don't think Galchenyuk is the answer LOL... I mean Rodrigues is the closest guy Avs have who can somewhat fill that spot but don't think that's enough for a cup run. Horvat would be awesome, if not him, get Toews

I think this game is a good example that Newhook's skating is great. He can absolutely fly. Great agility. Question mark with him is his hockey IQ IMO. He's a step behind at times because he doesn't know where to be or doesn't know what to do with the puck once he gets it. On the occasional play when he does know what to do his skating shines.

I think this game is a good example that Newhook's skating is great. He can absolutely fly. Great agility. Question mark with him is his hockey IQ IMO. I find his skating to be overrated. He's got such an inefficient looking short stride imo

This is Georgiev's first real year as a starter, and he's 8-2-1, with 25% of his teams salary cap not playing injured. Okay a GAA of 2.45, and a save% of .930 can be improved upon (I'm being sarcastic btw), but in my view, this is as strong as our goalie situation has been in many years.

They are both performing great. But that's what goalies do under our system.

They are not Vasy, Saros, Shesty level is what im getting at. But they are good goalies that get it done under our system.
