A road game clinic from the boys. Georgiev barely looked bothered at any point in that game, he really is a gem.
This team - hooly dooly.
Nichushkin (6.125), Helm (1.25), Byram (.894), Girard (5), Landeskog (7), Bowers (.75) OR 21,019,000 in talent injured right now (or 25.5% of our entire cap).
Credit where it's due guys. Bednar's system is absolutely best industry practice.
How about our 1-2 goalie rotation right now. Dear God.
This team is gonna be scary when everyone returns from injury, and they get one of Horvat and Toews for 2C, and if Georgiev continues playing like this, maybe better than last year?
That's what you want. Either one in, you can expect a victory if the skaters pull their weihgt. Which is heavy at the moment...How about our 1-2 goalie rotation right now. Dear God.
It’s so weird seeing him on the broadcast. Wasn’t he a pretty big voice in the front office when things went south with O’riely?Big Fat Snake Eat Lacroix!
For as athletic as he is, he looks so calm in net. Darcy swam 5 miles every game.A road game clinic from the boys. Georgiev barely looked bothered at any point in that game, he really is a gem.

Not even required mate. If what Jared said about getting Galchenyuk once his injury is done happens, we are sweet and lose nothing. Also, every middle to upper tier player who comes here (Donskoi, Burakovsky, Nuke etc) go to a completely different and new level, and I see that will happen with Galchenyuk. He'll become that 3rd overall player and score at 60 point pace,k you watch.
Lehk - Mack - Rants
Landy - Galch - Nuke
Newy - E-Rod - JT
Cogs - Helm - LOC
Toews - Makar
Byram - Manson
Girard - EJ
Georgy
Franky
and good luck entire league
I like your optimism but that's too optimistic haha
As always I appreciate your optimism, but the 2C spot needs to be filled and I don't think Galchenyuk is the answer LOL... I mean Rodrigues is the closest guy Avs have who can somewhat fill that spot but don't think that's enough for a cup run. Horvat would be awesome, if not him, get ToewsNot even required mate. That's stretching it too far. Both Georgie and Frankie are good goalies, but they are not great goalies. They are (most likely), not stealing us games. But they pull their weight, which is what we needed last spring, and what we need next spring.Yup, I have confidence in both to be able to absolutely steal games for us, as well. I've said it before, and I'll say it again (even though people laugh at me), best tandem in the league.
I think this game is a good example that Newhook's skating is great. He can absolutely fly. Great agility. Question mark with him is his hockey IQ IMO. He's a step behind at times because he doesn't know where to be or doesn't know what to do with the puck once he gets it. On the occasional play when he does know what to do his skating shines.
I gotta ask about that meme. I've seen it here for a long time but it dates before my HfBoards registration.Big Fat Snake Eat Lacroix!
Georgiev is 930, Francouz is 925 save percentage so far. I know it's still early, but for now those are great numbers and probably up there as far as top tandems in the leagueThat's stretching it too far. They are both performing great. But that's what goalies do under our system.Complete under sell imo. If Franky didn't stand on his head, and win 6 games, losing 0 mind you in the playoffs last year, we may not have won a Stanley Cup. This is Georgiev's first real year as a starter, and he's 8-2-1, with 25% of his teams salary cap not playing injured. Okay a GAA of 2.45, and a save% of .930 can be improved upon (I'm being sarcastic btw), but in my view, this is as strong as our goalie situation has been in many years.
Here are the NHL's leaders this season to date:
Not many teams have two players in the top 6.
- Linus Ullmark.937
- Connor Hellebuyck.935
- Stuart Skinner.932
- Alexandar Georgiev.930
- Jake Oettinger.927
- Pavel Francouz.925
- Logan Thompson.925
- Ilya Sorokin.925
- Cam Talbot.924
- Carter Hart.922
