Lundkvist is missed. He's prime Stralman compared to Hajek. He plays a quiet game and lately he's been more efficient in moving the puck up the ice and also activating offensively. Him playing more efficiently with moving and skating the puck up the ice has helped Nemeth too. Nemeth without Lundkvist is forced to move the puck too often. Hajek is just so bad, every shift turns into a fire drill with him.

Is he still sick?

Let's see how long it takes for Gallant to make adjustments with his lines. He's jammed Gauthier on as a last ditch effort two games in a row now. It worked tonight. He put 10-16-24 together for a few minutes to end the Nashville game as well. He saw how well the Sandwich Line works but for some specific reason, he's refusing to put it together.

I get trying to get Zibanejad going but it's simply not going to happen. Kreider is the one that needs to be moved off of Zibanejad. Gallant had them together in OT and they sucked balls. This is the issue I have with Gallant. He hasn't adapted based on what he's seeing. The team would be much better if he tried different lines.

We're going to have to suck and lose some stinkers before he changes his lines.

I wonder if this is what got him fired.

Unfortunately not a surprising result at all. The Avalanche are in another tier compared to the Rangers, I wish we played like them. Scoring goals is going to be an issue this season it seems, but hey, when you trade your best or 2nd best forward for nothing and replace him with garbage, and get nothing from Lafreniere, Kakko, and Chytil what can you expect.

This includes the friggin PP that the Avs dominated on and had a 6-2 advantage in opportunities.

Gallant is a fossil. I wish there was still time to ditch him on the side of the road like Florida did.

Gotta make some changes. Drop the dead weight. Hajek, Georgiev.

Move Laf back up to the Z line and move Kakko to the Panarin line.

Trade Chytil and get Goordrow back on the third line. He plays well and wins faceoffs. Needs to be in the game more honestly. Move Hunt back to the 4th line. He doesn't belong up there. He is a good 4th liner. Stop forcing him up there.

Also, absolutely pathetic that Hunt is wearing gloves with Staal on them. f*** man, it really is hard rooting for this f***ing franchise.

Will MacDermid getting a decisive win over Reaves make the rest of the league more willing to fight Reaves now? So Reaves will have a chance to enforce again?

18-7-3 and people are losing their minds. Relax, we played a good team on the road and lost.
The majority of that 18 are the bad teams in the league and the vast majority of the 7-3 are the better teams in the league that the Rangers can't beat. That's why people are reacting this way. The 18 is smoke and mirrors. They are 1 of their last 4, the 1 being a game in which they played awful, which is a lot more relevant than whatever they were doing when they were beating up on the bad teams.

Honestly, what's most disturbing about this game is that we kept the Avs to 4, which is below average for them and you can argue that last one was kind of fluky, and we struggled to score 2 against them. This offense is terrible.

This team would be far worse if Gallant wasn't the coach. They are still 18-7-3. Do you seriously think another coach(Quinn) would have done better with this team? I trust Gallant although I don't agree with everything he does like moving Kakko off the 2nd line. He really doesn't have a lot of options at RW with no Kravs or Blais. They need to trade for a top 6 RW.

Ryan Lindgren has not been the same player since last year’s head injury.
Feel sad to say this but I believe Drury should look to move him while he still could holds value with other G.M.s.
He seems weaker. Has trouble moving players from in front of the net. He has been losing battles along the boards and behind the net and he constantly looks to and yells to the refs for calls.
