I wonder if this might not help Dubas with the contracts. Matthews was getting pretty much whatever he wants anyway, but maybe Marner will realize he shouldn't be making the same amount of money as Matthews. But then it's Dubas and all you have to do is make him cry and he crumbles, so probably not.

I didn't watch the Leafs in the first month because I had given up after the Montreal disaster. But I thought that I shouldn't deprive myself of being able to watch Matthews play because he's probably the best Leaf player I'll see in my lifetime.

Glad I watched this regular season and just enjoyed the ride.

Liljegren tied for 11th in Calder trophy voting. I was very impressed with his progress last season. Glad to see that some of the voters recognized it as well.
