Matthews playoff stats have remained relatively consistent throughout his entire career.
Why do you keep on bringing up Stutlze. You sound like a jilted lover.

You obviously can't read stats.

Matthews had 3 seasons at PPG or above in the playoffs. 2 of them are the last 2 playoffs.

I meant what I said. He was remained relatively consistent throughout his career.
"Matthews playoff performances have been going up every season" is that what you meant? First Down Up Up Down Up Down that surely looks like up every season to me.

It's been improving. His stats last year were good too, they dropped in the second round against a .950 goaltender.

First round he had 5G 4A - 9P in 6GP (1.33PPG)

Also he was on a 12 game playoff point streak until taking a slap shot to the hand in game 3 against Florida. Not to mention he was already playing hurt anyway.

Which adds up to 5G 6A - 11P in 11GP, so… as a Rangers fan with no horse in the race, he was a point per game player. There’s also no denying Bob was a top MVP candidate heading into the SCF and had been otherworldly, nor the established narrative of Matthews being banged up. The dude gets overrated sometimes, when people think he’ll catch Ovie, etc. but acting like he isn’t top-3 to 10ish in the world most given nights is disingenuous.

Obviously the top 4 teams are better than the top 8.

Thats fine but that wasnt the conversation. I never said anywhere that he wasnt a top 3-10ish player most nights. All I said was he has been relatively consistent during the playoffs.

Again they didn't. They are First Playoffs, Down, Up, Same, Down, Up Up. If you want to say they have improved the last two seasons I can agree to that but every season is definitely a stretch. Hopefully he can continue his current trajectory.

Nights like the past two when he’s healthy he’s top 1 or 2 in the world

No way matthews ends up close to career goals as ovie. Ovie’s superpower is he is never injured. Matthews has no such super power…
