I also tip the cap to you going W-W to start. That's what I did in my very first ATD with Lindsay-Bossy (much larger draft to be fair), though I'm 100% certain you and BB will end up with a much better squad haha. I like seeing the non-traditional starts to rosters.

Round 2 done. This is interesting. idk if any team has ever taken 2 Ws or a W and a G in the first 2 rounds and won.

The Vancouver Millionaires are pleased to select Phil Esposito, C!

Re-uniting with real-life teammate Bobby Orr, Esposito has an exceptional resume- 6 straight 1st team all-star nods, with second team finishes in the years book-ending this streak. Having led the league in points an impressive 5 times, and in goals 6 times, Esposito is one of the true offensive powerhouses of the ATD. He was also able to lead the playoffs in both goals and points three times.

Obvious pick, one of the best value in the draft especially for you guys. I had some vague plans earlier in the 1st round to play him with Hull, and it may have happened if Makarov got picked, but it felt too risky. With Orr though, that's the best scenario.

We had gamed out a couple scenarios; one of the more far-fetched ones had Esposito available, so we were shocked/pleased that he fell to us. It makes our next pick a little trickier though, haha.

But not impossible, and having Orr makes a lot of those issues moot.

I have no idea Espo goes this late while Jagr goes where he does.

Trottier was a close runner up when I picked Mikita. He went a bit early last year but here he's good value.

We need a giant net-front presence to pair with our diminutive puck rushing pick from last round. There are a few available that have very little to separate them. I'm going a guy who won the Hart and the Norris the same year, was a force on the power play and an absolute playoff warrior.
