At this rate, we're going to miss the playoffs...

Man, these are the stanley cup champs that lost to the Oilers; they are playing well below their capabilities and I for one think is intentional; they like to be seen as underdogs in PO and also avoid injuries. Kopis PPG season end will be the same as always.

Kopitar would have to be over a PPG from here on out, you realize that right ?

Over a PPG in his remaining games, think about that. That's just to hit 70 points, His career average.

The Longest Kopitar has sustained over a PPG in his career was 09-10 when he did it for about a stretch of 25-30 games.

What is the point of this, he is playing OK now and I believe it will continue; I guess you dont.

He is playing back to his normal, which is fine. But he is not going to sustain that for the next 40+ games, he has never done that in his career.

He is going to hit another slump, Kopitar's start to this season, and his awful road performance so far, may have ruined his year point wise.

Which in the grand scheme of his career, may just be a blip on the radar.

It's a concern, but he would really have to do it two years in a row for it be really alarming.

Stop being so negative, he ll be OK and so will be the Kings

:) please just wait until this season is over

Team needs to make an adjustment. This Voynov thing has really jacked up the team and the team has not responded well to the adversity. They are playing a very lazy game of hockey. If we need a trade, so be it. Also, am tired of seeing vids on the cup from the team. That was last season and that season is over.

You are tired of watching the team lift the cup? Man does that come across as spoiled rotten.

Anze Kopitar on the road this season:

15 GP 2G 3A -10 (team worst)

There is a problem here.

Richards fault.

Playing poorly intentionally is saying they are losing or putting themselves in danger of losing on purpose. That is just dumb.

Is it ? They found a recipe for success and its working
And I didnt mean they are playing poorly intentionally, I meant they dont give 100% until is necessary and they will go on something like 10 0 0 streak if it will be necessary. Thats how good of a team the Kings are. They showed us this time and time again.

I'm just getting prepared for this reality and so should we all.

I'm not worried about missing playoffs. Just really don't like to watch my team play like a bunch of pylons. I watch hockey to learn and for entertainment all year-long, not just playoffs.

As of this writing, the Kings are 9th in the Western Conference.

Wake the **** up! This isn't helping the Kings' cause.

Kings aren't in a bad position, yet. They're 1 point behind a 3 way tie for second place, more like 3rd place if Vancouver decides to go on a tear. Obviously relying on the rest of the division to tank is risky/stupid for playoff hopes. Hopefully the line up stabilizes. And the 70's kids need to step up their production.

Okay help me out here. I missed the origin of this

Stat/analytics guys. There might be merit in saying performances are random, but when it trends as heavily as the Kings do I think mentally they start buying into struggling on the road.

What's got the Kings into trouble is their road record against the East. Against the Central and Pacific, they're 3-3-4. Not great, some efforts have been a little worse than others, but that's 10 out of a possible 20 points, which is breaking even. Against the Atlantic and Metro, they're 1-5-2.

What can I say, I have high expectations. :) I want this team to win a third and become a dynasty. If LA was on top of the division or conference, I wouldn't even think about saying something like that. Currently, we're in 5th place in our division and out of the playoff picture. I don't think this is a time to carry over a continued celebration from last year. They need to start over with whatever hole they dug themselves in. I think they may very well lose the present by living in the past. They need to hit the reset button and act like it's a new season.

To be the man, you gotta beat the man. And unfortunately, lots of teams are beating us right now.

It's Time For The Kids!!!

It's time to float the Dustin Brown is about to be traded rumors again to get him motivated. The team looks old, slow, flat, bored but I have faith Lombardi will do the right thing. I don't think this is the team you will see in the first game of the playoffs, seems like some of these guys need to be threatened to get going and Lombardi knows how to do it apparently.

Watching,Brown,Lewis,King,Richards do their underwhelming thing has me wishing the Kings would make a deal.Lombardi has many decisions to make for 2015-16 and this year and its clouding his mind!I'd look at who's producing and who isn't and pull the trigger and please trade that bum Lewis he's awful!
