Kase loss will help team as Amadio enters lineup .. Kase does nothing to help boys on ice .. he is just taking up space .. his skills are weak, his physical play in zero and he is not that fast to create with speed .. filler at best

He has a well above average possession rating and starts in his own end 96% of the time at ES.

Offense hasn't been there yet for Kampf/Kase, but they have been excellent defensively.

Only just had time to watch the game. I can understand the frustration regarding this team, but I quite enjoyed the match. There are plenty of reasons to be optimistic, especially the play by Campbell, the effective third and fourth lines, the penalty kill looked good and Bunting has a charm that really is hitting a positive nerve with me.

It is a long season, so starting a bit slow while still accumulating points is not too bad. Bit of a break now for some more chemistry to grow followed by four games in six days.

We need to start burying these chances, we have dramatically outplayed our opponents the past two games and it’s been a fight to get any points. I love the effort but effort is not good enough when your paying players 11 million per.

I don't think losing Kase is the end of the world, but he's been fine. That third line played well last night.

Of course.. but it's just been a few games. Shooting percentages tend to trend back to their long-term averages. When shooting is too high, it trends down... when it's too low, it trends up. We have been a top 3 shooting % team the last few years, and likely to trend back to that soon.

Campbell has been great, the D of the team overall been quite good, we are dominating possession, and getting our chances.

We are playing right, and well. The goals will come soon, and if they can continue to play in the same manner, we'll have a lot of regular season success. They need to face a bit more adversity in the regular season, get used to tight games like this, to learn to fight through to finally have success in the playoffs.

Last night was a fun game. That OT was unreal. A real shame that the result was as it was, we deserved better for sure.... But hockey is an entertainment pastime, and last night was entertaining.

He's a good player but being used in the wrong role. Leafs just have too many of these kind of players. Bunting, Kase, Robertson, Ho Sang

Leafs shooting at 5.3% so far. That should improve 4-5%.

Leafs saving at 93.8% so far. That should go down 2-3%.

Offense at #3 in xgf/60, which is elite and their usual level.

Defense at #14 in xga/60, which is mediocre and a step down from what they've done under Keefe before this year. This I want to see improve significantly. Neither of the top 4 pairings have been very good defensively so far.

IT can take as much as half a season to integrate as many new players as Dubas/keefe have inserted.

But you know what..... I see some encouraging signs. Jack Campbell might be the new Johnny....For the youngsters on the board, that is Johnny Bower.

He and the Rangers goalie put on a clinic in overtime... Certainly showed how important goaling is.

How the coyotes let Micheal Bunting walk is perplexing.... Not only can the kid play and play very well, he is a huge personalty... But lol, he sure is small, but only in height...Same for Darcy, Darcy has the hands, the size of a jumbo, same for Gilmour, gilmour had hands bigger than sundins.

I should know, I wrung those hands on numerous occasions...

I would make one suggestion to Kyle...WAIVE someone, expensive and my pick is Engvall some and load manage Jack, or is that JOHNNY....

The health of JACK is tantamount to this team.... Find a way to let the faithful warrior Hutchinson play some games... Not saying Jack Campbell is the kawhi of the team, but he is pretty close...

I love the quick and efficient arrival of alex from the u of t, but I think hutcher deserves a shot...

Petr and a groin injury, well, its the death knell of goalies.. Career ending...

Petr, himself, can put on a show when he is hot...So he should not be rushed back....

Waive a guy, I cheered for, for years, pulled for, engvall...

He has one of the uglier contracts out there, I am fairly confident he will get through, only team that might claim him, is Calgary, because he seems to negate some of the McDAVID brilliance.

Anyways in closing, that overtime, was increedible....

What does this even mean? 2 of those guys aren't even on the team and likely won't be, at least for any extended period of time.

Not to mention those 4 players are completely different from each other.

Hutch is on the team, he was the backup last night and will continue to be on the roster until Mrazek is healthy.

Absolutely dominated and scored *checks notes* 1 goal. This is the same story every year for the past how many years. They make every average goalie look like a monster. Georgiev the other time made 50 goals against.
Except not really, the Leafs have finished near the top of the league in goals scored, shooting percentage, etc. for the last 4-5 years. Sure it happens the odd time.. like it does to every single team. We're blessed with a high powered high octane offense, so we notice the cold streaks more.

every single game we’ve played we’ve ran into “a hot goalie,” maybe it isnt the goalies. some of whom havnt even been nhl quality.
Its 4 games and 3 of the goalies were NHL caliber, Shestyorkin is a likely Vezina candidate sooner than later. Take a deep breath bud, 4 games into a new season with a ton of roster turnover.

i much rather the team have scoring struggles at the start of the season. rather then the last 2 years we had lit the league on fire for the first 20 games almost scoring at will . other teams adjusted and neutralize it . now it will be us that will have to adjust from the get go

Never in my life would I have ever expected people criticizing players for producing a 40-21 shot game and allowing 1 goal.
If there was ever any doubt that this forum has too many trolls, this is your evidence

People get upset because Rangers are one of teams we are gonna be battling against for 1 of 2 wildcard spots .. Sens and Habs are non playoff teams .. we have easiest 9 game Oct start to season and already gave up 3 points to field
