Your post is just complete bullshit. Carey Price had an elite season in the NHL in his D+3 season. Kirby Dach in his D+3 season couldn't even get 0.5 PPG when mostly playing next to Patrick Kane and Alex Debrincat. Even if you want to die on the hill that people said, "Carey Price doesn't work hard enough", that season showed how he did have world-class skills to be that good early on which is why I said "Dach doesn't have the elite hockey skills or defensive awareness to get away with that". So yes, if Dach had a 70 point season you can attack my post, but he hasn't even come close to that.

Get your facts straight before going after posters.
I don’t give a shit about D-3 or whatever. I remember the onslaught of bullshit surrounding Price. He ‘didn’t care, silver spoon’ all kinds of nonsense.

Exactly the same thing here. Dach suffers a devastating injury. Misses a season with toturous rehab. Comes back, struggles badly and then finally starts to find his game.

But yeah, he doesn’t care. Effort is the problem… Ridiculous and embarrassing take. But not unexpected. Its not the first time and won’t be the last.

It’s one thing to disagree on a player. Another to question his character. I have no idea how you guys come up with that kind of stuff on a player who’s killed himself to get back into playing shape. Absolutely brutal. If you don’t want to be called out, don’t make these kinds of posts.

I don’t even think Bergevin would be that naive
I refuse to believe Hughes won't add a 2C this offseason. Guy has been sitting on his ass the past few offseasons because we had way too many bad contracts. That won't fly this offseason with all the cap space we have.

All I can say is thank god they drafted Hage..

Because it just doesn't look like this is gonna work out with Kirby tragically..
Who I f***ing LOVED

But decisions will need to be made.
Fortunately we have the leverage here too

But right now and for the foreseeable future
Kirby Dach is NOT this teams 2C.
Which means they need to fix this problem ASAP.

I'm speechless, the non-injury prone Dach, who never played a full season in any league, injured his right knee twice, after his wrist, but don't forget, he's not injury prone...

Cap space and a slew of draft picks. I think Hughes knows he has to take advantage of Demidov being on an ELC for 3 years

Just terminate contract and don't look back. Biggest disappointment
You can't terminate the contract they are guaranteed, the only way to do it is with the player agreeing and Dach isn't going to agree to terminate his contract

I like how most are treating it like it’s his fault or something lol.

I just feel bad for the kid. Tons of promise but shitty luck.

Honestly if I were him, I’d come back later in the season next year so he can have an ‘offseason’ of training.

For him to just do the same thing as this year would be pointless. Start playing after you’ve gotta few months of high impact training in.

“He isn’t hungry enough. Doesn’t work hard enough…”

This is exactly the kind of bullshit I’m talking about. Same thing was said about Carey Price. By a lot of the same people.
He was dealt from Chicago is because they didn’t think he would reach his full potential because of his work ethic.

Over the summer he didn’t take his conditioning seriously and came to camp out of shape.

There were rumors before 4 nations break that Dach didn’t take accountability for his poor performance this year during his meeting with Hughes.

To shut him down rn, the situation stinks and I think Dach will be playing in a different jersey next season

Lowkey good news. Shut him down and hope a full year offseason allows him to maybe figure himself out.

Forces management to get a center or give long looks at our younger guys.

Once you find a better solution for 2C we become a stronger team.

Then next season let Dach earn his spot instead of handing it to him. It either works out or you take the L on him.

I too feel bad for him, and of course it’s not his fault. But I am done with him. That’s the reality of professional sports.

Dach should and cannot be part of your lineup next year. And should and could not be part of the future as well. Forget him. Pretend he's not there.

So we are looking at a No2 C. Hage COULD be it in 2 years as I suspect he stays in the NCAA next year. Beck, while he's doing fine right now shouldn't be it either.
