Not in the European league he played in during his draft year/covid. Since then he’s basically called Othmann a bust from the start. Now he tries to keep doubling down because he’s been called out for years since.

Garand has the potential to be a starter. It will take a couple years at least for him to establish himself, though. If the idea is to trade Shesty before his contract is up, it would have to be next summer when he has 1 year left. I don't see that happening, even if we had Wallstedt.

But that doesn't mean we can't re-sign Shesty and then trade him at a later date, as long as we don't give him an NMC. We can worry about that when it happens.

Othmann in the PP bumper like Oshie was for the Caps. No more f***ing around and making him “earn” special teams time like the other kids, if he shows he’s ready

The reason that model was nonsense for Othmann's draft year is because prior to Othmann, only 2(!) North American prospects spent their draft year (or age equivalent) in the Swiss League in the last 76(!) years.

Those 2 North American prospects combined for 3 total games.

I remember when he presented the model for Othmann or when it was posted here at least, and I was like, how many f***ing comparables can there be? And then you posted that and I was like, ok, yeah, well that explains it then. :laugh:

Yeah, I was pretty confident there weren't that many. And yeah, to me it matters whether those comparables are European or North American especially at that age. We're talking about 17-year olds.

So yeah, I responded to his tweet with that, and then also a more detailed breakdown of EHC Olten's season.

I agree, it’s so f***ing dumb. The guy is a definition of a clown to even double..and triple down.
