they wont even make the playoffs and are trending downwards big time. Their strategy to acquire all the superstars isnt the best. Players are just there for the money.

Eichel, Stone, Pacioretty, Reilly Smith have all been out for long stretches, to name only a few.
They really need to get healthy.
But trading all their good young players isn't looking good. Especially that Pacioretty trade.

They need a new coach. They are 28th in the league for goals for since January and 30th since February. That's too long of a stretch of not scoring goals. Also Lehner isn't a starter and Brossoit sucks but the main problem is scoring goals.

Oddly enough I think Claude Julien would be a good fit for them but I don't know if his health will permit that. There are no young guys for Julien to give shit minutes to.

Its too early obv but that Eichel trade is looking like that classic overpay for one good player but the lesser players turn out to be better or have a larger impact, together.

I'm not a fan of tunnel vision, so Tuch is going to have to really grow as a player, or krbs will have to be the real deal - or Eichel will have to not get back to his old self.

Avs fans on the main boards are pretty quick to point out that we shouldn't be excited, because in the end, Barron likely projects as a "#3-4 D".
I don't think they realize that it's Artturi Lehkonen that they acquired here. A guy who started last year's playoffs on the press ramp. I mean, I absolutely wish the guy the best since he's a class act and one hell of a defensive player. In fact I also wish Colorado the best. Excluding Nazem Kadri, they have a pretty likable team.

Glass is on the Predators now, you might be referring to Nolan Patrick who is roughly interchangeable with him.
Makes you think, imagine if we asked for Glass instead of Suzuki in the Pacioretty trade. Could have been the end of MB a lot sooner

I wish Lehkonen the best. But he's not my favorite player. Very sound with the puck, just never has gotten going offensively.
But if you want to love a 30 point player, all the best.
And if he becomes a consistent 40 point player, I'll be ecstatic for him. Very hard worker. Just not the player with the most offensive of instincts.
