It’s never pleasant seeing a good guy like Lehkonen get traded. What a pro he’s been. Can’t help but keep rooting for him.

Like Hughes said, it’s a lot easier to trade picks for a player than having to go through the process of telling a player he is traded.

Must have been particularly difficult as Lehkonen was so well liked and respected. He was never involved in anything controversial while here — just worked hard and improved. Love that kind of attitude.

Good luck to Lehky! Any time the Habs and Colorado trade together, it brings back some not so good '90s feelings. I was 12 years old when that trade happened and remember shedding a couple tears.

No. Could have get a bit more. But I like the fact that Barron is a RHD, something Habs badly missed among their crop of youngsters.

But I guess it's gonna be a good news for our bottom-sixers: Dauphin, Pezz, Poehling, Evans, Byron, Perreault, Pitlick and Armia. Some openings for RNH and Ylonen next season perhaps ?
