He's a really good kid, like I said, he's got a buttery smooth skating stride for a guy of his size. He doesn't have the meanness that Guhle has but isn't afraid to be physical. Is more of a puck transporter than a passer, but he's got a soldi first pass when needed. Has a good not great shot.

I always saw him as a guy who could maybe do PP2, would play on your 2nd PK unit and be able to eat a lot of minutes on the ice.
That's my take too, was always really high on him. When the puck is dump on his corner, you know that the puck will be out of the zone quickly. Really great kid from what I heard to

Watching Hughes' presser now on YT, when he was asked about the fact Lehkonen had arb rights and that his next contract might have been more than the Habs were comfortable giving him the money he would ask for, Kent answered with "if you look at the standings, we're at the bottom. But if you look at CapFriendly, we're at the top."

So all of their decisions take into consideration potential earnings of players with deals up.

He has an uncanny ability to get pucks through to the net I find.

Barron is a great prospect. He would have gone higher in the draft I think if it weren't for the time he missed due to blood clots. But his AHL season has been very solid. I'm very happy with the return. This is the kind of dman we need in the pipeline.

Correct , I can't believe we were able to get him for Lehkonen. A few days ago i said in here that if a team was willing to give us a first for Lehky that we should pull the trigger right away... I wasnt expecting a former first AND a pick. I understand that Lehkonen is good defensively and hard to play against , giving his 100% each shift , but still ... We are talking Lehkonen, who not so long ago was playing on the 4th , when he wasnt an healthy scratch.

I was wrong , i wasnt expecting a first round pick , to me he wasnt worth it.

Wonder if Barron finishes the regular season with the Habs or Laval. Maybe best to develop some chemistry in Laval ahead of their playoff run.
98.5 FM broadcast duo were saying that Barron to get some games right away with the Habs before being sent down but don’t know where they got that.

Good note, the guy missed it as the 7th wasn't a bounced until after the tweet to be fair to him.
Not blaming him, I fully realize that the info came late and wasn’t available to him at the time he tweeted. Just posted for accuracy purposes.

So a second pairing kind of guy... Hamrlik with better skating...?

10M for Gallagher and Armia

Poor dude will have a hard time moving those 2.

Hopefully, Barron will be worth more than Lehks down the line.

The Baron Ghoul:

What is this?! The new Dandoullion??

Doesn’t sound like a ringing endorsement for MB lolol

Don’t blame Lehkonen for the incompetence of his coach. Not too long ago Cole Caufield had 1 goal on the season too. Lehk’s was a 2nd rounder himself who would be a 1st rounder in a redraft. I was expecting this type of return or keeping him. Lehk’s will be missed. This is a good deal because we got what we need for the future and the current state of the team, not because Lehk’s didn’t warrant this return. I’d say it’s a bit of an overpayment by the Avs, but not massively. They are getting a very good player.

First overall level talent with better skating? Hamrlik was such an intelligent player, I'm having trouble to find a comparable player in the league right now. Larsson when he was still a Devil reminded me of him
