*With Ryan Strome and Jesper Fast.
Why did you feel the need to do that? He's producing, and Strome is producing. All of this occurred anyway because Mika went down. Did you think Quinn had this line in mind before then? Do you think he wouldn't have broken it up if it didn't work? Does Panarin look like he's complaining?

Because if you look at the list, most have counterparts just as talented.

Look at the 'solo's' on that list. McKinnon, Kane and Eichel. Talent wise, he's with the cream of the crop.

Yeahh, doesn't look good does it. But, what actually blows my mind is the fact that he went undrafted. Especially because he played his first games in the KHL 08-09.
It was well known that he wasn't coming to the US at that time.

and he was a late bloomer

Panarin is good in so many ways that it is just a question of time Quinn will try him in goaltending.

By the way guys do u know why Panara playing on the right side on PP? It's ridiculous. I following him since he start to play for SKA in KHL, it's a period when he become a star here in Russia. And i NEVER seen him not on the left side, where he can shot the puck and do more offensive things.

Don't get it one bit. He should never be on the right side on the pp.

He switched to the left on the final PP... I wonder if that was a mutual player thing 'over-riding' the 'plan'

Well apparently you didn't watch him in CBJ because he played there a lot.

Also - he should play on the right side on the PP. And the reason is because the goal is for the team to do well not for Panarin to try and score the most goals possible.

The better question is why would Panarin play on the left side on the PP on a team with Mika Zibanejad who played there the last two years and had the 6th most 5v4 PP goals in the league?

I watch him in CBJ a lot and most of the time he played on the left and Atkinson on the right. Left circle - it's a plaсe where he is most effective with his shot, it's not Ovie's shot, but it's very elite, you can't skip that. Also Mika can upgrade second PP unit.

I can't believe I was so against this signing. He's ****ing unreal.

Mika has more PPG and PPP than Panarin the last two years (tied once with 10 less games). The CBJ PP was one of the worst in the league each of the previous two seasons. Why would we want to model a PP after that?

Finally a few of the non believers here are starting to admit Panarin was a steal. Why you wouldn't want him for a team friendly deal and not having to give up anything but money is mind boggling to me.
It's apparent many of the poo pooers never watched him play. I wonder if they were paying attention to how he lit the Rangers up in the past. Wait till this team gets some experience in the next couple years. They are already pretty decent as it is.
