Montreal is quickly climbing the ranks of whiniest teams in the NHL. Prust shut your mouth, like you wouldn't make a big hit during the heat of a game... What a joke and that suspension is ridiculous. McLean is right by the way, it was a good hit with bad repercussions.

1. They've always been one of the whiniest teams in the NHL.

2. And MacLean was right about it being a hockey play. But he was an idiot to blame it on Diaz. Stupid red herring argument is stupid. Yes, big hits tend to happen in that area of the ice; doesn't mean Diaz meant to do it or even was being reckless with the pass. At the high pace of the game, I'm sure he thought it was a good option for an outlet pass when he made it. A complete accident. Not to mention he wasn't the one who hit the guy (not saying the hit was dirty). He probably feels bad enough as it is and to even imply - or try to shift - blame on to him is ridiculous.

No he doesn't deserve blame but it was a suicide pass.

It's called sticking up for your team, I doubt Prust even thinks it was a cheap shot. I love everyone bad mouthing Prusty right now, but everyone would take the guy back in a god damn second. Guy is a warrior and every team needs players like him.

It's called whining and acting like a child, there are other ways to stick up for your team besides running your mouth and trying to give the media hitting lessons. I never once said anything negative about what kind of player he is did I? You don't need to defend him.

Oh you're from London, makes sense.

I was a huge a fan of Prust, but his comments both today and during the lockout (along with many others) really show his true colours. He seems to have the emotional intelligence of a teenager.

Yeah, I'd cheer if he was a Ranger as i cheer all Rangers, but I wouldn't be rushing out to buy anything with his name on it.

Prust has really mouthed off a lot since he left the Rangers. Torts would have killed him if he said those comments about MacLean while he was still a Ranger.

I obviously agree the fat walrus comment was way too far but I could give a rats ass. This is playoff hockey, if you want to be a ***** then be a *****. Are there other ways that Prust could have handled it? Of course there are, but too call the guy out for sticking up for a teammate and letting them know that he has their backs is ridiculous.

Also that London comment was pretty unnecessary as well, but whatever, you guys get so worked up about such little things on this board. It makes it hard to read sometimes, "sky is falling" "we suck" "fire torts" "fire sather"

If I'm a tough guy and in the NHL and I see a teammate get smashed up and all bloody like that on the ice i'm god damn pissed off. I don't care if it was clean or not, this is playoff hockey and you get even with the other team (no stupid penalties or dirty hits). I also dont like how Maclean called Diaz "player 61" and referred to him as "61 whoever he is". He obviously knows who the hell Diaz is, give me a break.

He sounds like a 10 year old kid with his loud mouth.

A "fat walrus?" Really?

Loving the signature

During our 24/7, for the actual winter classic, some flyers players got mad when Rupp did the salute, and when talking about what they'd do in retaliation (nothing, since they didn't score), they didn't know some rangers players' names

I'm pissed the Penguins game is on NBC.... I don't want to watch this match-up I want to see the Canadiens/Sens game....

Is Shanny blind? In his video, he's mentioning the head being the principle point of contact.

All I see is a shoulder to chest hit.

Since my internet is too bad to even watch any videos (watched it a school today),

has it been determined where the blood came from?

Was there a moment of silence for Lars Eller before the MTL-OTT game?

That series sure became intriguing one game in!
