TBL is a deadly team. They're gonna make East finals this year for sure

Tu sais quoi, man, you need to accept that Montreal is a good team this season. Sure, they've had luck on their side, but they've won squarely quite a few times as well, including tonight, where they made the Wings look very average.

That rough patch where they lost badly two or three times skewed the stats. You just have to watch the games themselves and you notice how well they are playing as a team, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like them. Ans whether we like the shootout or not, it's part of the NHL and they'll probably win many more of them on their way to the playoffs.

- I don't need to "accept" anything. Credit to the Habs who have turned it around lately and have been deserving their 6 games win streak. Can't say the same about their record before that... I thought they'd be worse than last year but almost all of their players are playing at their best right now so Michel Therrien deserves some credit IMO

- I'm not talking about the shootout because I want to dismiss it. I just had to point it out to that other poster because they got credited with 4 goals for SO wins in the standings. I was literally talking about the goal differential. I wonder how many decades it will take before people are actually able to figure it out from watching the NHL.com standings.

- In summary, I'm saying that I am surprised that they are able to have this record with that stat, since usually, very good teams have a big + differential (like the Pens, Tampa or Blues for example). But it's probably because it's early in the season... Ducks, Preds and Canucks don't have a great differential too. Tells me a lot about parity in today's NHL. The teams in the tp are the teams who are most consistent game after game.

I agree with Tampa, the way they're playing now I think they come out of the East this year into the Cup finals.

Considering how pedestrian Montreal has looked against good teams I'm not too worried about them going far

We will find out

Them pickings were slim for dmen on the offseason

They rolled the dice on youth, like Colorado did this year and we did last year

San Jose needs to finish up this road trip and start getting themselves back in sync. 16 of 21 games on the road so far... They're getting beat by Buffalo currently.

Remember when we used to do that?

Ah, the days when we actually had a good team.

They took out Bernier after the first, at which point it was only 0-3. Would have kept him in. Reimer is the one really getting exposed out there. Yikes. Still over half a period to go too!

LOOOOL!! What on gods earth happened to Toronto tonight? Last I checked it was 8-0 to Nashville

Ahh, as I write this they just scored... Still, is Nashville that good? We play them on Thursday. I hope we destroy them.
