I love the fact that we don't have to win games like this often, but I wish we had the ability. I think we have 2 games that we won in the last 3 seasons where we allowed 4 goals. 8-4 against Buffalo last year and 8-4 against Ottawa this year.
 
I hate the Ducks more than any team in the league. I can't believe Dallas took their foot off the pedal so completely in the third. I just cannot stand Getzlaf or Perry, even a little bit.

I wouldn't like them. I hated Rick Nash before we got him and I hate him today. I'd still dislike them. Are you asking me if I would take Getzlaf for free on the team, in a vacuum, without consideration for what we'd have to pay, etc? Yes. It would help other players I like and the team I root for succeed. Would it turn me into a fan? It didn't turn me into a Rick Nash fan. The question isn't really relevant with no context and no chance of happening. You don't have any players you can't stand?
 
Dallas was never going to win playing at that frenetic pace. They should have tried to slow things down instead of letting Anaheim dictate the pace so much. Bad goal for Lehtonen to allow.

The only time I felt this way was when the Rangers acquired Donald Brashear. Still despised him, and more so when he literally lost his fighting ability as soon as he became a Ranger. Almost like how most Rangers lose their ability to score once they put on the NYR jersey:laugh:

I do. Brashear was one. I also would not want Lucic. Some others I cannot remember in Sather's reign. In the same way that you would dislike some players.
I'm not into all the trade stuff in order to put structure around it :-). It was just a simple question.

Turned it off with 5 min left. That was a mistake.

And for one I love Getzlaf. May be my favorite player. Everything a hockey player should be.
 
Crazy finish to that game in Dallas. Good season overall for the Stars though. There was a lot of change in the organization and they had a good first year under Ruff.
 
Not sure if I should root for the Bruins or the Habs, aside from rooting for them killing each other.
Boston sure does look hard to beat, their offense is just unbelievably balanced, so at one point you'd have to pair up the weakest defensive pair against one of the top 9ers. Their defense and Rask are nothing to sneeze at either.
On the other hand the Habs own us at Centre Bell and we won't score many goals on Price. Playing Vanek isn't a good prospect either, I somehow think he has a history in turning up the heat versus the Rangers. And I still remeber the tying goal for the Sabres in game 5 of the ECSF with something like 8 seconds to go.
 
all of this is hypothetical of course. We'll first have to take care of game 6 in Philly and then of the Pens or Jackets.

Kept flipping back during Mad Men commercials. All of a sudden I flip back one time and I hear "we're going to overtime" what the helllllllllll.

So many choke jobs in one round.
 
Chara doesn't deserve to be there.

Anyways, go Columbus. It'd be odd to play them after rooting so hard for them in the 1st round.

I think the 12 PM start does have a lot to do with it. I was at game 1 and it was the loudest of the 3 home games.
