If they had a good first pairing, that would be a fantastic D corp. Unfortunately, Irwin - Boyle is ugly.

EDIT: Should mention that losing Vlasic is a HUGE blow. Kings could do this comeback.

Haha, yea, losing Vlasic exposes that D-Core. But I don't think it's "fantastic."

The RHD are good. Boyle has declined and is a 2nd pairing guy at best these days. He can't shut down anyone. He's had a good series, but in the regular season he wasn't as good. So they lack a legit 1st pairing RHD.

The LHD is atrocious. Hannan is where he belongs. Stuart is not good and most Sharks fans didn't want him in the lineup prior to Vlasic's injury and Irwin on the first pair is horribad.
 
Does anyone know what happens with the schedule if The Rangers close the series out on Tuesday night? I know a Game 7 is scheduled for Wed (if necessary!), but what is the schedule for Round 2 Game 1?

Any theories?


Also: I love the new playoff format, but the schedule has sucked. wtf?
Wait 3 nights between games for the first 2 then a back to back?

Anyone know if theres any indication on potential 2nd round schedules?

Im thinking theres a good chance we would play Friday if we advanced right?

Well that's crap.

Keith doesn't even get the toughest minutes on his team. It should be Weber. Only 10 points back while playing almost 27 minutes a night against top competition.

This comeback for the Kings has a real chance of happening. Pretty awesome.
 
Hope LA takes this series. #1, for the lulz, and #2, because I picked them to lose to Boston in my playoff bracket. :laugh:

So the Crosby one timer and then the puck re-cycling over to Crosby who sets up Malkin for a filthy snipe for his second is a prime, prime example of why people saying "Crosby and Malkin haven't scored in their last 19 combined games" isn't a valid comparison for Nash's 1 goal in 17 playoff games, at all. Malkin has two tonight and it was 9 since last goal. I believe that was also Malkin's 100th career playoff point. If there was one player in the world I could get on the Rangers it would be Malkin. I'd love to see how he and Crosby fair on different teams and he would be the most elite center NY has had in eons. I think he could be better than Sid sometimes, especially when Sid is out and he seems to elevate his game.

I want Pittsburgh to win this one. **** Columbus, bunch of hyper 3rd liners.

You think Crosby would drive us mad during a series? Dubinsky would be public enemy #1. Pittsburgh is a much more favorable matchup IMO.
