I'd want PIT to win in 7 though. Have CBJ wear them down as much as possible.
 
Only team left in the East that I think is a favorable matchup for the Rangers are...the Flyers. :laugh:

Damn though, Philly, Pittsburgh, then Montreal/Boston to get to the Finals. Insane. Although, beating the Flyers, Penguins, and Habs would be GOAT.

I don't know, I find it hard to not be concerned about potentially playing the Penguins. They have the #1 and #2 best players in the world...

Yea, Crosby's only like the best player in the world. ****ing Dubinsky's the guy I'm really worried about. :sarcasm:

Great post. Lot of thought went into it.

Giroux's been the biggest pain for the Rangers in this series, right? I mean, he is the best player on Philly, so by default he's been their most effective player.

We'll also conveniently ignore the fact that Dubinsky's been a lot better than Crosby this series.

Didn't have to think much. Crosby's the best player in the world and he's been kicking our ass for years. It amazes me how the Pens are going to take this series but for some reason Columbis is getting all the praise.

I just think Columbus is a tougher matchup for us. That doesn't mean they are better than Pittsburgh.

I **** my britches every time we play the Islanders, because they bring more intensity than we do. Those games are a lot tougher then when we play a team like Philly (normally).

Columbus really hates us. Guys like Dubinsky and Tyutin want to clobber us. They're also a very deep team, which doesn't bode as well for us. I think Pittsburgh is a more favorable matchup.
 
If it does wind up being rangers vs penguins than i see no reason why the rangers can't beat them. Fleury looks shaky and so does their defense. Rangers have a better defense than Columbus also.
 
I'd much rather face Columbus than Pittsburgh. I think the Rangers would win against Columbus, lose against Pittsburgh.

Dubinsky has been good these playoffs but I also think his performance has been a little overrated. I'd much rather face him than Crosby/Malkin, unless Fleury starts playing like he has the past few post seasons. He hasn't been great but not nearly as bad as he has in the past.

EDIT - Didn't mean to be such a *****. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But when the Pens play to their potential they are scary. Obviously.
 
Pitt swings wildly from game to game. They routinely smoke the opposition in one game and then completely fall apart the next.

We can beat Pittsburgh. A ton has to go right, and Hank will have to steal more than one. But it's a divisional matchup. They know the Penguins well and will be ready to play them.

But let's get past the Flyers first, no?
 
Why would anyone prefer the Pens to the Jackets :laugh:

Their best forward is Dubinsky
Their defense is nothing special
And their goalie is a one hit wonder, that's nothing but average
 
The problem with the Pens is that they score a lot fancy goals that Hank just can't stop. Our defense is great and everything but we don't stop Crosby and Malkin like we stop some other players. They're not at all intimidated by us and they've had our number for years. For whatever the Flyers always play them real well but the Rangers don't.
