I'm not going to argue with you. Every team you pointed to drafted inside the top 10 multiple times immediately before their Cup runs. You can twist that however you want, I really don't care. It doesn't make it to away. It happened. LA: 2, 4, 5. ANA: 2, 7, 9. BOS: 5, 8. It happened. However you want to manipulate those FACTS, it took place. The teams won cups AFTER those drafts. The Rangers highest pick in god knows how long was 10th and everyone who is still actually competing, let alone has a chance at the Cup, in these playoffs has drafted higher. Those are facts.

This entire conversation began because your holier than thou attitude took exception with me simply ADMIRING the wealth of young forwards Colorado has, mere minutes after MacKinnon scored his 10th point of the playoffs, and making a sarcastic joke about Nash. It's not like I posted a ****ing topic about how we need to tank like Colorado. This website has gone to such trash in the past few years. There is literally nothing here but abrasive ******. I visit less and less and then inevitably come back when the itch to talk about hockey gets too strong and each time I regret bothering. By this time next year I won't be surprised if I've just blocked the URL entirely.
 
Why is Quennville shuffling lines in a tie game while on a 3 game winning streak at home where a W puts you in the next round? Panic much?

Except you literally said this team will never contend unless it tanks like Colorado. That's just incorrect.

A) I'm pretty sure 2006 came before 2007. But I'm sorry that my presence on the boards in 2014 upsets you more than it did seven years ago when you joined.

B) I'm not the one attacking the poster rather than the argument.

They made the playoffs 20+ straight years with nothing to show. They didn't even make the Final ONCE during that streak. Not to mention making the Final in their first 3 seasons and going 0-12. I mean, the Expansion 6 didn't even compare to the Original 6 at first... but come on!
 
I have no idea who's going to win the Stanley Cup, but I know this: It will either be the Chicago Blackhawks or a team that goes through them. Damn they are good.

To run off 4 in a row, in the fashion they have, after losing Game 1 and 2 like they did... DAMN. Talk about poise and playoff experience.
 
What do you do if you're the Blues? Miller seems to not be the answer in net and he's not getting younger.

If they don't come back in this game, oof.
 
RIP St. Louis. Another great regular season marred by a playoff whimper.

Why? They were this years' bad guy as soon as they traded Stewart to make the big splash at the deadline. I love it when the league is reminded that the game is never won in the offseason or in the GM's office.
 
Halak was just as good for their system. Too bad. The Hawks are still the class of the league. I said months ago it's gonna be a repeat of BOS/CHI.
