No clue. I can't wrap my head around it. Why would they regularly televise one of the worst offensive teams in quite some time? It's not like Buffalo is Chicago or New York or anything, it's ****ing Buffalo.

Ratings.

Supposedly the ratings for the Sabres, especially in Buffalo, are through the roof ridiculous. Same thing for the Penguins in Pittsburgh.

I find this "compressed schedule" to be utterly stupid if there are going to be days where hardly anyone plays.

lol i have this nbcsn rangers isles thing on. matt martin is going out with boomer esiasons daughter???

yea, its been known for a while... its pretty funny... i do hate that Martin is on the Islanders. i wouldnt mind Martin on the Rangers.. a solid 4th liner. why cant the Rangers develop their own :shakehead

Yeah I think the Caps are just a ****show...it's too late in the season to be playing so inconsistently like they are and they have a hard March schedule against a lot of top teams in the West. They just can't keep relying so much on Ovechkin to score goals and Oates handled their goalie situation horribly, Kolzig has completely ****ed up Holtby, and Oates' roster decisions are terrible. Oates is a bad coach so far at least and his insistence on making players play a certain side because of their handedness is ridiculous

Devs probably just don't have the offense to stick with it...maybe if they had ridden Schneider all season long instead of splitting him with Brodeur, but it's looking like they might just fall short. Every game is a slog for them it seems like and grinding out loser points isn't enough.

Isles are toast.

e: I think the Canucks have a massive number of injuries at the moment and that's probably their biggest problem, but it also seems that Tortorella rode his top line way too much and the Sedins are burned out and playing injured now, and they don't have the depth to compensate, especially with the injuries

I read a post somewhere or other from a Nucks fan season ticket holder. He sarcastically mentioned Torts "running his 2.5 lines" or something to that effect.
Canucks fans have little to smile about these days.

We think all of our young players are future 1st/2nd liners, and don't want to risk them going sour on 4th line duty, so they never get the chance. Instead, they just rot in the minors before making the NHL.

Anyone who does develop into a 4th liner with us gets promoted to 3rd line anyway, because our depth sucks.

One would hope that Gabby's continued injury woes will end the silly "Cally for Gabby" trade proposals that crop up from time to time...

The Canucks are far from a disaster but the organization needs to make serious decisions regarding direction. Torts has compounded the situation with his typical BS. In terms of media pressure and fan attention, Vancouver isnt New York. It's WORSE than New York, and by a huge margin.

They need to cut sling load on half the team. Booth, Higgins, Dalpe and Burrows need to go. Edler is a horror show. They can still keep the core of the Sedins, kesler, Bieksa, Hamuis and Luongo, but there's too much dead weight.

Torts was right. The roster stinks.
