Ok, when I read that story I am baffled.

Scooter in winter?
Calgary player on a scooter in Detroit Michigan?

Am I missing something here?
He didn't want to walk to dinner.

It is in the 40s lately. So, he probably rented a scooter and got hit by a driver that wasn't paying attention. Or, he made a poor choice by riding into the vehicle's path.

Damn, I am close to Toronto 3 feet of snow here. Didn't think the weather was that different.

Should be in their contract no motorcycles/scooters.

Many - okay most - major cities I have been to in the last 5 years have undocked scooter rentals available. I'm not sure if that has reached WNY yet.

How does Vegas even have anything to trade? And I highly doubt Grier is going to trade him in the division.

They have all their first round picks for at least the next 3 years. Two 3rd round picks this year and all their 2nd round picks after this season.

They have a few nice prospects (I was high on Brisson at the draft). They've got a few roster players that may be interesting, but I think their offer would have to be pick and prospect heavy, which SJ may not object to.

Now, the "in the division part", I have no idea.

If you've ever walked around downtown Detroit (fun!) it's not busy like NYC other than near LCA/Comerica/Ford Field during a game or maybe something at the Fox Theater - unless they were near Greektown (which is getting sketchy). Strange he'd use a scooter and worse he'd get hit. Those things are dangerous. We have them here in Greensboro and I've heard they get people in the emergency room all the time from using those things. They need to let the players know they can't be using those.

Ok, maybe I was picturing a moped. I lived in Europe for 10 years and a scooter is usually 50CC+ motorized vehicle. Now I think about it my guess is one of those electric ones you stand never thought of it.

When you don’t believe in analytics.

Actually this ties neatly into the Sabres front office. I trust them to acquire players that they will understand value on. I think they can do it smartly and build a great team. But all that brain power is just sitting there twiddling their thumbs until they actually do it.
