Some good discussion about how shortsighted NHL policy is to long-term success.

i don’t find out anything new here.

i think ratings on TV are down in part due to the games selected to broadcast. IIRC early in the season TNT seemed to have games skewed to later start times like 9 pm or later. ESPN seeming to not have consistent broadcast window of games.

not getting streaming like on espn+ in local markets is a slightly different issue. In thr local market usually a network pays to air their games so thry need to recoup what they paid. Same can be said about those who paid for center ice but can’t get the Hulu exclusive games.

i don’t see the value in digital ads. I get the idea of having ad flexibility on the boards where the ads thst run coukd change if the game is a national TV game but without the the digital ad distraction.

im just waiting for the ads running on the field of play in a similar graphics format as the first down marker runs.

Totally with you on the bolded. I refused to pay them past my internet which I do not have an option for. SO...last month I decided to try FUBO so I could watch the games, and so far the $80 per month has been totally worth it. I will just dump it as soon as the season is over.
80$/ month was my whole energy cost before the crisis, thats steep

Not sure why I didn't check the score before I watched the FL/TB highlights. Both Isles and Florida win. Hopefully PIT loses their game in hand tonight against COL.

If I only have it from October thru April, then that is 7 months at $80 = $540/70(games on MSG) = $8 per game. What do tickets+gas+parking+food = cost? Considering its a 3 hour experience with pre and postgame, its basically $3/hr for my Sabres viewing needs. Best thing is the money is not going to Spectrum!

In theory you could watch the other channels as well during that time. FuboTV is essentially a cable replacement and has all of the local channels as well (at least for me).

Demko back practicing. Not sure when his first game will be but I will definitely be watching. If he can get a 900+ save percentage in his return there will be interest before the deadline.

Buffalo not likely to ever get another ASG ?
I mean, we haven't gotten one in 45 years in a 32 team league (which was only 26-30 for most of those years). Even accounting for skipped years due to lockouts/Olympics, it's pretty obvious Buffalo was never getting the ASG again. That's why they occasionally throw us a bone and give us the draft.

I also wonder if we'll kind of become the home of the scouting combine.

Yup, once the new stadium is completed I would assume.

Bettman has basically come out and said that once the Bills' new stadium is built, we're getting another outdoor game.

Given how I think the target completion date of the Bills' new stadium is 2026 (I think).............Buffalo getting the 2028 Winter Classic sure seems like a thing that could happen. 20th anniversary of the first (and greatest, IMO) Winter Classic.

Need wins from Colorado and Seattle tonight. And of course, the Isles strike first against the Kraken.

Wish the Islanders had worried about chemistry half as much as we do

Does anyone here REALLY think we're getting any help in this process?

Of course we're NOT going to get any help. It's not the Buffalo way.................gotta do it ourselves........
Ourselves don’t get us help either.

Islanders up 4-0 Horvat scores

That was a game Seattle should have won.

Pittsburgh is going to make the playoffs on "loser points", aren't they?

Or they will just win it in OT on some sort of f***ing shit storm fire drill.
