This Ottawa post-Chychrun stuff is intentionally missing the point. He's a good player meant to improve the team long-term (at least medium-term depending what you think of his 3 remaining years under contract). Yeah you like to make the playoffs and show your roster/fanbase that management is "all-in", but it's about getting better long-term. That's why I wanted Chychrun (or any top-4 Dman with a 3+ yr contract at this point). That player will be better than Jokiharju and slot worse players down to more appropriate roles. Look at Buffalo the last couple weeks and I guess I'm glad we're not going off on misleading tangents about how some big TDL addition was useless because of the current nosedive.
