I talked to you awhile ago about my visit to NZL being cancelled. I finally was able to reschedule and go for 16 days back in April. Best trip I've ever went on, both islands are absolutely incredible.
Awesome. Glad you made it here finally. Did you get up into the back country? I’ve got a hike scheduled for next Feb up over some West Coast (South Island) Mountains.

im contemplating going there is 2024. Could be in Feb/Mar or in Nov/Dec time frame
If you are after summery weather, Feb/Mar would be better. Although you might die if you went to Australia in the height of summer

Beat me to it :)

I did consider it. The bank I work for has its HQ in Melbourne. I was chatting with one of my peers over there this week, and he asked if I was going too. I decided I’d rather save my $$ and come over for a proper trip to North America. Go see games in a few cities, maybe fit in some MLB and NBA as well. Originally planned for April next year, my mate I’m planning it with had to postpone. So 2025 I’ll be there, by myself if needs be, because he pikes on me again.

Not to mention the Melbourne game is a warm-up. It isn’t even a regular season game, which might have drawn a bigger crowd.
It was exactly the same situation for me when the Sabres played in Stockholm a few years ago. I priced it all up & really considered going - but the cost was a long way towards a proper visit to the US, where i will one day hope to watch both the Sabres & Bills in person.

Dregs on Sabres Live:

Zegras (CAA) and Verbeek are far apart, and negotiations are painful. Likely to end in a bridge. Drysdale stuck as well.

Pinto and Sens also far part. Otw does not want to trade or waive. Teams interested (mentioned Mon, Bos, Phi).

Okay, Ottawa who doesn't have cap space for Pinto, but Anaheim can't pay Zegras? This is strange, except that he is asking for 9-10 million, which I doubt.

Ty Smith waived, any interest? I know we’ve loaded up on “meh” D, but dude was supposed to be somethin. Just seems a quick give up.

Major development within the division.

While I'd love to be "OMG, we should trade UPL or Comrie there".....................this is where Spencer Martin goes, right?

Basically at minimum salary, then Tampa can tell either him or JJ to f*** off when Vasi is healthy........and then not be forced to shed the excess salary that would come with a guy like UPL or Comrie.

Ty Smith is certainly worse in his own end than any of our current top 8. Probably worse than Johnson right now......probably worse than Novikov right now......and Ceccone....maybe even worse than Clague. His D-zone work is basically on par with Davies, though Smith is better offensively than Davies.

Hard pass.
